  1. Sweet so that meaning? People know the car? Worth the trip up north to check it out or am I wasting my time with a trashed car?
  2. Am leaving the country end of march, but still need something to get round in till then. Am hoping to find a goodish condition e30 for this time. Does anyone have anything? Also thought about this e36 on trademe: listing # 268194475 If I tidyed it up abit would it interest anyone in 2months time? Sorry no link posted am using phone to post this. Would be good to hear your feedback. Cheers Hamish
  3. Drphta that was me out in mission bay, I'm don't think (hope) that there wouldnt be another black evo with white leather in the country! Have got a guy flying up from Wellington on Saturday to check it out. Results from the pre purchase check are fantastic for an eleven year old car! Now I better give it a clean. Still if anyone is interested in the car be in touch.
  4. Thanks guys but this thread isn't for my car! But I would have to agree it is a very tidy car:p Have had huge interest in it, not sold as yet... No hurry though still in NZ for two more months. If anyone is interested please get in touch. Cheers Hamish
  5. Nice, it matches my mfree with the colour scheme. I drove a softtop once, felt so different to my car.. I didn't like it.
  6. Hmm not sure... you could find out? Wheels are in Balclutha so that wouldn't cost you that much to get them to Timaru?
  7. Hi, ***Alloy 17" wheels for sale*** When I bought my e46 it had these wheels on it, obviously just a replica wheel cause any similar early nz new e46 coupe I've seen hasn't had them. None the less still a good looking wheel for someone. Two of the tyres are fine, and two are buggered. I replaced these wheels with some 18s, car doesn't exist anymore so thought I'd sell these on. No proper curbing on them, but a few scrapes from gravel roads and usless tyre changers. I'd like a couple of hundy for them, but the wheels are in the south island, so will take into account that someone has to pay for freight. Let me know if you are interested and figures can be sused out. Hamish Trademe link for photos http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.as...amp;permanent=0
  8. Dude they look wicked!! M3 rims next in line
  9. Lucan mate it looks really good! I can see what you've been slaving over for quite some time! Looking forward to catching you up one day soon to check this out. Hamish
  10. Hi Michael, Couldn't reply to your message for some reason.. But my headunit will be of no help, took it out because it wasnt working. Hope you get yours sorted. Hamish
  11. hey would the 18s fit an e36 m3?
  12. Hi all, Just spotted this X5, has anyone had anything to do with a UK imports? Anything to look out for in something like this? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-238365291.htm Cheers Hamish

    Tyre Profile

Hey, On my e46 I had 235/45/r18 on the rear with a 9.5" rim and 225/45/r18 8.5" rim on the front. I found the 45 so much nicer to drive on than a 35 profile (on previous car) especially on NZ roads! Keeping some height in the tyre you can get away with stretching it on the rim and the side wall looks really good with a bit of meat in it. and also keeping it within the 5% of standard...
  15. That’s the trouble with cars sitting for to long aye. But in saying that I'm sure this year has got it running mint. I looked at a 3L e36 m3 at this yard before I got my e46 it was an immaculate car, but sold before I could even pick up the phone! Would be interesting if anyone in Christchurch knows it?
  16. Hey guys I spotted this 325i on trademe. Looks really nice! If only i had a garage. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-236135649.htm Have seen a few cars on this yard over the years, they get a lot of nice manual BMW's. Mostly all trade ins from the other archibalds yards. Hope someone can pick this up!!
  17. That is a nice 330, Seems all manual BMW's get driven some kms! compared to the auto ones. My last 328ci had 180k or so on it, never missed a beat. But at that money id be buying an e36 m3
  18. Hey everyone, With a trip to Auckland two or so months ago to purchase a lovely black lady off trademe... I ended up staying gota flat and started trying to piece her back together, she was a bit "bogan" and trash when I bought her but with a touch up here and there shes almost back to her factory glory! Great little car that am really happy with her. But at the moment she sounds like a non turbo skyline with a baked bean can hanging off the back of her, so back to trademe I go and ta daaaa find a standard muffler! Now the trouble is I don't know anyone in Auckland that could fit it for me, if theres anyone on here that could do it or suggest who I'd be keen to hear from you/them. My net worth is some shells, whatever half-smoked cigarettes i can collect from the pavement, and lunch money... but sure some deal can be made. Cheers guys, Hamish 02102553011
  19. Random Guy... Did you buy this car? Have always wanted an e30 coupe with those MAK wheels, I think they look really good for a fairly cheap do up. Interesting that the owner painted the chrome bumpers.. Looks ok though, at first glance could be a facelift. If it sold to you, you gave the previous owner good money for it. I did up a dark blue 88 320i coupe with those wheels for a friend when I was in Dunedin a few years ago, was a great car but she moved onto ozzy and the car had to be sold.
  20. As i said before that i had the listing for my 328 still on trademe so just changed it up for the m3.. i realy dont want to sell it.. just wanted to see how easy it would have been to and seems to be easy with 50 people watching it on there! cant fault the car at all am stoked with it!! but as i PM with atta 'crazyarab' he said he had no insurance on his and got away with it ok.. im thinking ill tempt fate and try that/ 3rd party fire and theft.. but you will all be happy to know the car is returning to factory.. as soon as i can find the bits.. spend $2280 on insurance... ? or replace all the sh*t on my car.. i pick the car!! "scottr" i wasnt offended. and wont be driving through wellington ive gota job in auckland now so not going home..
  21. hey yup what I paid for it would be mint, just had a service at bmw, a new tyre and some other bits totaling about $1000. If anyone is interested private message me on here. haha nathan nope that was my fault but I was running late to pick you up from the airport. haha 50 demerits later!
  22. thanks for your input, but of course one would check before buying.... stoke with my broker he had a figure in mind for the premium which wasnt bad.. then when he looked into it further and let me know today it was a mad mission! I'm still in auckland.
  23. cheers for that, my broker tried every option i made sure of that.. not overly keen to sell tho! i still had the listing on trademe from my last car so just changed it for the m3.
  24. haha yea thats what I thought, that just gets too messy dude have tried that with another car i owned! and living at the other end of the country to my family, id have to be the fulltime driver on paper.. thanks for the thought though.
