    Hey Brad

Found the rear rotors on ebay, they were custom ordered from Reyland Motorsport for a E46 cost $280gbp.

But they recieve E36 ones. RM didn't want them back, so they were on EB for $140gbp + $20 for shipping.

    Still have to install

Well went to install my ebay find, I removed rear passenger side after quite a bit of rust-off, and banging away.

Only to find they are E36 hubs but with E46 diameter 328mm............, so if anyone has a set of 996 porsche rear calipers lying round and Rallyroad brackets.

    Crap I'd need another cert ...........  ?

  2. Hi Shoine,

If you've got no movement and only the window regulator  motor noise when looking at it with the door card removed.

Then the window regulator needs repair/replaced.

I'm sure I found a YouTube clip that showed a cog repair.

Give it a google " window regulator repair "

  3. Nice power, I'm jealous.  210 ?

My understanding is that the CAI intake makes bugger all difference, 2 or 3kws. But with cold air feed from the brake duct. Your using cold/ambient temp rather air heated by the engine.

It's more for the induction sound.

How different is your CAI to mine ( photo in part 1)

When you dismantled you oil pump did you wire the nut on or secure the nut other than torquing up?

    Spot Weld

Also did you install an oil pan baffle? Bimmerworld has one which I'm thinking of installing  https://www.bimmerworld.com/Oil-Pan-Baffle-E36-Z3-6-Cyl-All-M50-M52-S50-S52.html

Baffle recommended for S50B30, not required for a S50B32 ( my engine)

And where did you get your rod bearings from?

Sorry mate went through my folder ........ no idea ??

    cheers

Slowly been doing bits and pieces over the last year. Had a new exhaust fabbed up by a mate (JDL Engineering Timaru) with supersprint rear added later as it was just too loud as it was.

made a cold air box with insulated panel that seals to the bonnet, and a big fram filter with air ducted from the brake duct, but has given a flat spot around 2.5-3k, tried to space it out from the airflow meter but no real difference, so might be going back to the factory box. Does sound good though.

Justin, I did the air box as you decribed in my car and had it dynoed. This didn't show any flat spot.

The flat spot that is decribed in many threads on the net including yours, only showed on my dyno runs after I installed my custom exhaust version 1.

The dyno numbers and the solution I used are in my build project page. Be warned it's picture heavy.

  6. There have been some delays, but I'm getting there.

Both new doors close now, I'm guessing I may have to do some minor adjustments to the door windows. Time will tell (after I compare mine to Dave's) ?

Door cards not in yet , as I need to go for a drive

(More details in the first post)

  9. What a plonker, seem that after looking at some photos my car doesn't have key cylinder on the passenger's side .

    Hi guys

As some of you may know, I have been removing all the hardware from my old door to transfer into my new door.

The last part to be removed was my door handle, I placed it on the bench. (face down) along with all the other parts.

Spent a bit off time contemplating the reinstall.

Then decided to first give all the parts a good clean and relube.

Picked up my door handle only to notice the key Cylinder was missing  ?

Can the cylinder just fall out  ?
