time for an update,

Radiator is mounted in place and all plumbed up along with all the other plumbing. Have had a bit of difficulty with drive shafts and the PCD of the flange that bolts to the rubber donut being different but have fixed that by getting an aluminum one made up and pressing some rubber inserts with steel tube to absorb the vibration.

Have just put the 2.93 open diff in to get it on the road and driving for now.

exhaust is made up and bolted on..havnt started it yet

Have put my set of wilwood brakes on! mm they are so nice haha!

If any of you guys are interested i have copied the brackets, hats, bolts etc that i used and kept all the part numbers to bolt straight onto an e30. So if anyone is interested PM me and i will get a quote for making a set up depending if you want all the hardware too or just the instillation kit.

items left on the to do list now are:

master cylinder under the dash

air filter

fluids

finish putting the dash and interior back together

cooling fan

washer bottle

overflow bottle

So the list is getting down to the final little things now so hopefully not much longer.

If there was someone that knew how to fit into an e30 i would buy it to put in my car, its the right ratio and everything. have tried searching the web to no avail

I am selling me reconditioned Medium case LSD for an e30, ratio is 3.64.

If some one has a medium case 2.93 LSD that they want to swap i would be keen,

or there is some on ebay usa if someone clued up on getting them here could help me get one that would be much appreciated.

Have you tried assembling it? The 2.93 might be thicker if the matching pinion is a different size (smaller)? Am mentally struggling to see how smaller gives a taller ratio tho, so maybe I'm wrong.

have tried assembling it and it sits really far to one side and the bearings dont seit where they need to.

right time for an update, not much to update really though.

Driveshaft is now sorted and radiator after its 4th trip back to the shop is right.

My main question to people is regarding my diff.

I bought a e28 2.93 med case open diff and a 3.46 med case LSD. I have been trying everyone in the know in chch and no one can figure out how to combine the two. So i have attached a photo to show what the problem is.

The 2.93 gear is on the lsd pack, the 3.46 gear is now on the open pack.

notice how the 2.93 gear is thicker.. and also it sits up a lot higher (5mm) than the 3.46 gear.

you can see the gap between the 3.46 gear and the flange as to how much the 2.93 on the lsd sits up.

Hope that makes sense but does anyone know what i can do????

Yep it is rather frustrating when there was i think 10+ people interesting so i do the running around and organizing of it thinking that i would at least be able to recover my costs (which is not looking good) where as i could have just fitted it and been happy with it. I figured since i have been looking for one for a while now and having missed out on the last due to a technicality here on B.S that i would see if there was interest in a fiberglass one. Oh well.

Yes if there is a few numbers i can "make to order"as this is easier for everyone on my end.

So if i can have a confirmed list of people that want one by next Thursday the 20th i will have some made if the numbers are sufficient.

The lip replaces the black plastic lip on the cars factory it doesnt go on the black lip.

Sorry mate i have a facelift car and have no real use for a tech one front. Tech two and itd be a done deal however.

Pics of fiberglass lip for those interested. The weight is no more than 2kg and i forgot to get dimensions but same width as your e30 front kit. The lips is made to a high standard and of strong fiberglass.
