Motor is in gearbox and clutch is in for good! Have made a nice aluminum box which is getting painted body color this week to put the ecu and wiring in which mounts in the e30 battery tray (battery factory in boot in my car). all the wiring is well and truly sorted now. managed to squeeze the motor in there with the headers on and the A/C and alternator bolted in place which made things much easier rather than trying to fit in place. Plumbing to the heater is all hooked up, radiator getting made hopefully this week if not will be next week. Bolted the oil cooler back in and the condenser. Also been fiddling with the brakes... found a really tiny brake booster and mounter the e30 master cylinder on it, looks like it will work under the dash with a remote mounted reservoir. Got the drive shaft back and the didn't put the bigger end on it to fit the v8 box so its back at mace getting changed. Hopefully this week i plan to have the ECU all hooked up and mounted away in its new home, driveshaft on, brakes sorted, oil change for motor and gearbox, power steering A/C and oil cooler lines fabed up, maybe even start on the exhaust. Sorry about the crap photos and the lack of photos only had my iphone to take photos off. Cheers

No i had no idea you could do this... Im assuming from Riley's comment that the e36 cover is expensive?? Fabrication is not a problem as thats what i enjoy and am good at. BTW that sounds like an awesome project! Will have a look around on the net at quad tips on e30s and try and make my mind up. if anyone has pics post em up!

Well i got the nice shiny flywheel today!! mmm what a beautiful piece of engineering, i got it real cheap too which was great:) so i took the afternoon off and put it on the motor with clutch all bolted up. Gearbox is on now too. Looking to stick it in the hole for good tomorrow and bolt all the running gear up to it and it should be drivable once the exhausts and radiator is made. Its getting close now! What do you guys think about doing an e46 m3 style exhaust on the e30.. like the pics attached..

Should i run twin pipes the whole way down or go into one pipe then back to two?? been hearing varying opinions for both sides with their advantages and disadvantages, what do you guys think?

Soooo fellas time for an update. The wiring has been sorted out, i took out all the auto wiring and computer plug and re wired it exactly as a manual loom would be. A friend can re flash the ECU so that will get done when its running. The headers i have finished making today i have attached photos so you can see what iv done, they go between the steering shaft and the subframe. I also finished putting the E36 steering rack in and it fits perfectly. The engine mounts are done and painted See pics for detail. The motor has had a full service, all gaskets replaced and the water system replaced because it had a bit hole about 5mm round in the water pipe running front to back on the motor! would have leaked like a sieve! so that all been replaced. Oh i also removed the braket off the guard that used to house the old water tank and panted it, looks pretty good. ahh what else... all wiring has been totally sorted so its all go! Drive shaft is getting lengthened and flywheel clutch is getting made up and ill put the motor back in for good on Monday with the gearbox all bolted up. will be sending it to get an exhaust system made up during next week. Still haven't looked at the brake booster etc.. putting it off haha let me know what you think

Hi everyone, So i have recently just checked the ratios of the trans im using in my v8.. and the fifth gear is dam 1:1 I would like to have a 3.15 3.05 or a 2.94. Firstly is there anyone that has one of these ratios LSD medium case that they would look at swapping? Mines a 3.46 lsd. Or the other option is to but a med case diff and swap the lsd parts into it...big job? Lastly... does anyone have one of the above ratio diffs they wanna sell to me haha? Cheers guys

there should be enough meat in them, my dad has had race car wheels re-drilled many a time with no troubles. Also, cant find website at the mo but there is a crown which has some tricky wheel studs which can change the stud pattern so long as its 5stud to 5 stud or 4 stud to four stud. Will look for their business card today. BTW thanks for your help yesterday mate its much appreciated. Would like to come see you Nissan sounds awesome from what you have said Cheers Sam
