Is there any reason why the gearbox crossmember from my manual, facelft, 318i couldn't be used with a 260 box to convert my pre-facelft 323i to manual? Like, are all the manual crossmembers the same across the e30 range? Ta. Max

Anyone done it before? They screw in all good but the connections are different, so if i just wire up the right connections is there any reason why it wont work? ta

All I can add is that removal of the air conditioning requires a certified person to get the toxic gas out of it, which could be expensive unless you know someone.

That plastic at the bottom of the door slides out towards the back of the car, its pretty easy to break but you can get it out intact, getting it in is a real bitch though! Taking the carpet out really isn't a fun job, good luck.
