Thats an awesome price, I;d get them in a flash if I was local/

I know the guy who makes these in Perth, bought a couple of things off him. They are supposed to be very good for fibreglass copies (haven't seen one myself). Hes got one for sale for $850 at the moment I can put you in touch with him if you want, but I think shipment would make it uneconomical.

What foxy said This is a very valuable thread I've book marked it.

I do pre delivery on lots of different cop cars at work. None of them get surrounds. Army ones do though.

Check the plastic sheet between the door card and door frame. if its not sealing off the door frame it comes thru there too.

Hey Gus did one not long ago, m40b16 swapped with an m42. Should talk to him.
-
I didn't say a m20b20 240 would not fit behind another m20..
-
lol good on ya. pwnd

Because these housings have two bulbs rather than just the one in the stock ones, i assume this is to acheive a legal amount of light output. But yea thats how I'm doing it for the time being until I get sorted and take the bumper off. Still looks badass, I'll take some pics.

I've got some info from a book so it must be right. The g240/5 fitted to the facelift 316i / 318i / 318is is the same (up to sept 1990, after which the e34 318i version was used for the iS). This looks the same as the m10 version but the spacing for the bellhousing to engine bolts is different and they do no interchange. Then there is the g240/5 fitted to the 320i which, according to this book has another different bellhousing which prevents it from being interchanged. Also says that 260s from a 325 will fit a 320, but you need to get the whole gear linkage assembly from Andrew Everrets e30 resto bible. Not much info on e30 gboxes ----> e36 engine tho

Whole assembly. I would be really truly retarded if I couldn't get the lens cover off lol.
-
poos gotta buy some tools, I was hoping I could hack it with a swiss army knife and 3 random allen keys
-
How does one get the whole front indicator light assembly out? I've been rolling around on the ground for like 30mins trying but I just cant get behind it with more than one finger (through that little whole behind them). I've got some smoked depo ones I want to put in. Please don't say I have to remove the bumper max

m20 with 2.7 crank, wayney headers, hotter cam, megasquirt, flowey exhaust and a tawa special CAI!

Shame it looks like a wet climate, otherwise f**k yea!
-
ps theres a e34 535i manual there on BCI for $6.5, looks well serviced.

Mate you just gotta shop around more. Register at www.bimmerclubinc.com.au , there are some good deals to be had there in the fs section (its a perth community). Get the quokka first thing on Thursdays too.

Means inspection I / II is due. Involves flushing coolant, brake fluid, checking brakes, new air filter, spark plugs yada yada
-
Ugh I love it. This is exactly what I want to do one day.
-
Yep oil change, oil filter, fuel filter. I feel after all these years the relevance of set tasks at service time is, well, irrelevant. As things wear I will replace them. Not including fluids and filters obviously.

Paper clip, bend the ends back on themselves. Did it the other week.

Sif! Whats wrong with that fiddling?

I guess this is where taking it to specialist bmw garage becomes a tempting option hey.
