Ecu has to be changed also correct? I'm in the US so things are a little different. Superchips no longer has any support for this car.

US spec but car spent it's first 14 years in Japan I'll try and get more pics as soon as the weather here clears up

Early 323is didn't come with a removeable chip. Are there any bolt ons that can improve performance? What about just swapping ECUs with a later model? Would really love an M50 swap but taking the car back to Japan and it won't pass inspection

cool. Most parts places want $170US for them here with a 2-3 week wait though. Need to get the car running sooner than that

do you smell coolant with the heater on? Driver's side carpet wet? Could be the heater core or valve

Nah got it down to the air slide valve. does anyone know if this can just be cleaned or bypassed? Guessing this is what ducatiss was referring to earlier. Part shown in pic. If so then will do it this afternoon.

alright, will have to start checking vacumn leaks. My car does not have an ICV.

My e30 323i has a strange idle. when I start the car it idles and then surges up to 2k rpm and stays there. Any one with ideas? Production date is 12/82 if that helps.

do you know if the engine wiring harness is the same as an 83 323i? If so I might be interested. Actually need the complete car wiring harness, but need the engine first. LMK shipping is only to the US.

Guys got a problem. for some reason the auto tranny in my car feels slow and sluggish. When the accelarator pedal is pushed the car is revving but it hardly feels like it's going anywhere. Is this just the tranny going? Been this way since diff fluid was changed.

That my friend is a Euro thing. Since getting here froom Japan, my car has started rusting very bad. Winters here are harsh and we're talking Sardinia. :banghead:
