  1. Your e36 M3 is one of the nicest I've seen crazyarab. Awesome job. I love the rims.
  2. At the moment mine is without. I just thought that if I could afford it (I'm a student) I should get the euro one just to tidy it up a bit. Cheers
  3. Hey guys, I have just bought some europlates and was wondering how much European plate fillers are for a facelift e30? I was hoping to spend around $30 plus postage to Wellington. Also do they just screw into the same holes as the Japanese plate fillers. Please note: I don't mean number plate surrounds, I am instead reffering to the larger black plastic moulding that fits between the tail lights. Thanks Dean
  4. Is it possible to clean the engine up without the steam cleaner or air compressor? i.e. just using degreaser, detergent and hot water? If it is can anyone recommend a decent engine degreaser. Thanks very much. PS How did yours work out in the end Kym?
  5. Glad you enjoyed yourself. Its nice just to drive for the sake of driving. I use to live in chch and I miss driving over to akaroa for the day.
  6. Thanks for the advice hotwire. At thhis stage i'm just trying to find out as much as I can about it before i do consider attempting it. Does anyone know of anypne who ohas tried this and caused problems (minor or major) with their car?
  7. That would be excellent. Thanks very much Forrest
  8. Hey Guys, I was wondering what type of wire you use to reset the service indicator lights on a facelift e30. I have a run down of how to do it just not what type of wire and/or fuse to use. Advice appreciated. Thanks
  9. Those are really nice 535iS' guys!
  10. I can strongly recommend getting quotes from different insurance companies. I'm 21 and my quotes for full insurance for an e30 were: STATE: approx $300 p.a. including roadside resuce and free windscreen repairs AMI: $1100 p.a. But i had to keep it garaged and I don't have a garage TOWER: $1800p.a. All of the premiums were around the same, so its not hard to see why i went with state. I was suprised AMI wasn't lower as I'd been with them since I was 15 and never made a claim. In my old car (civic) it was much lower than that. Also I have my flat insurance with Tower but had nothing with State.
  11. I like that 330Ci. Manual would be better but would probably cost a lot more. I you are concerned at all with resale value I assume that the coupe would be alot better??
  12. I really like it. I don't think you need to worry about the hair dressers car thing when its an M Z3 I've always had a soft spot for the Z3 shape but wouldn't buy a normal one. This I like!
  13. I saw this last night at Wellington Star (Mercedes dealership in Wellington) and thought you might be interested. It may have done too high K's for you though. E60 M5 $86,990 84,000Km BLACK http://www2.carupdater.com/star/allgalleryview.asp Cheers, Dean

    Smoking

    Quitting would help.

    Smoking

Although I don't agree with everything you said I think its good that you are a considerate smoker and don't smoke around kids or at other peoples' places. Others could learn a thing or two.

    Smoking

I work with cancer patients and see so many people (some reasonably young) whose smoking has given them terminal cancer (lung, larynx, pharnx, tounge, lip, oral cancer, bladder, oesophageal) After seeing these cases I could never start smoking and hope like hell that noone close to me starts. In saying this I believe that everyone does has a right to do as they wish to their own bodies. For me one of the worst aspects is the health effects of second hand smoke. Second hand smoke does cause cancer and other health conditions (e.g. asthma attacks in kids). I always cringe when I see adults smoking around kids. Dean Edit: i tried really hard not to make this a rant or a lecture but it still seems that way sorry
  21. Hey Bravo, Do you mean they were legit as in purchased from plates.co.nz or legit as in purchased from germanplates but have the same registration number as your old ones? Thanks Dean
  22. I had this problem in the back of my e30 (4 door). It was because the plastic membrane behind the door card was all ripped up and water was getting in between the actual door and the door card. Dean
  23. +1 You should definatly report it to the police. Happened to my dad a few weeks ago
