  2. Very well could be. It's used over the cables which run along each side and over holes in the frame to prevent the carpet sinking. I might just use sound deadener to keep the shape.

Talk to a panel beater or a supplier. They replaced similar material on my car as shown in your photo. I am sure it was just sound deaden-er that they used.

  3. Hi. Searching for...

    -Passenger side, front door trim.

-Drivers side, front corner bumper trim

  4. this problem rings a bell.not sure if it will fix the issues, but best i know

it relay related, cant think how to explain where to look, but i'll

find a number etc tommorrow.either factory alarm setup or the relay that unlocks the doors/shuts engine down

when the car is in an accident, from memory these link somewhere

Relays.... I don't know a lot about them so if you can find the info that would be great.

Ok have had some weird issues with the obc.First it shut off while at the lights while also tooting the horn... Not cool with another car in front of me.Second time it shuts off, again while at the lights but this time turns the car off.... ?? Someone helped push me on to a medium strip, where I pulled fuses out and got it to start again. Both of these have happened on hot days. Is there something that would cause the obc to reset like this?

Probably not related, however annoying. My starter motor needed to be tapped back to life today. Is this a minor problem or a sign the end is nigh.?

Looking for some advise or similar experiences so I know what to replace or explain to an expert.

    Cheers, Adam

  6. unfortunately im the only one in my family with a BMW! maybe i should find a someone in my street with a BM and do that

where is this if you dont mind saying? JG were over twice that for one, and at that price, ill stick with my current less than perfect ones

Ok it was awhile ago, a couple years atleast, but the company is Eurorec, they had a website which doesnt seem to be working now. Contact details are in the Yellow Pages. Eurorec

  7. Need some roundels for both front and back of the E30 and the E34. Jeff Grays prices have skyrocketed on these, is there anyone that has new old stock or similar? if second hand (JKSE, Ray etc), they would have to be immaculate. after experiences with TradeMe, i wont be buying from there again, the last set are all faded and crap after just 18 months.

I found a wrecker selling original BMW badges, new for $40-45 each.

When I next went to BMW parts and mentioned it they dropped the price to $45 + gst.

  8. If anyone can help me with this part I'd be grateful. The solenoid/actuator I want should have letters 'TV' stamped on the face in large white letters. Bentley manual says driver door and front passenger door actuators are interchangeable.

Hey mate does it have a part number I have two sets of doors locks for an e28. May have what you need.

  9. Clinton,

I have 3604:2011. I assume worst case wind zone of Very High, you are in Dunedin after all and with 1kPa snow load assuming you are not at 200m altitude.

-Rafters, 190x90mm SG8 at 1200mm centres. Span 4.1m (biggest span for 190mm timber). Fixed to beam with Lumberlok CPC40 cleats.

-Purlins, 70x45mm at 600mm centres. Fixed to rafters with 1/10g self tapping screw, 80mm long.

-Verandah Beam, 240x45mm SG8 between posts at 2m centres max. Bolted to post with 2/M12 bolts, use 50x50x3mm washers each side.

-Posts, 90x90mm Laminated at 2m centres. Use Bowmac B79 strap fixing set in 800x800x800mm 20MPa concrete footings. Bolted to post with 2/M12 bolts, use 50x50x3mm washers each side.

I will be in Dunedin on Sat if you wanted to discuss it further on site. I strongly suggest getting it consented as mentioned above. You can do your own plans if you wanted to save on paying someone, although I have drawn it up quickly already.

    Adam.

  10. Howd he get the parts off? Wouldnt it be in the impound yard waiting to go to the crusher?

I always reckoned they needed to make the law where they strip the car and rereg it, as crushing a tidy car with loads of parts is a waste...

They need to strip it out so it looks impressive when they crush it. 1 down 116 so close haha

  11. You can be fined by the Police for not turning into the closest lane. The Police did a series of setups here and gave out $150.00 tickets!!

In theory both cars can turn at the same time and the new rule doesnt effect this as it has always been in place.

I have recently been annoyed with people not even looking before they switch lanes... not indicating <_<
