Hey can anyone tell me the estmate cost for repair of a fuel pump for bmw 320i?
Hi, I dont have a repair cost. I assume you have already looked into a used or new one? There are alot of parts avaliable. If you add a location to your profile someone in your area could direct you to the right people.
edit: year of vehicle is also helpful.

Good luck with the Sale. There will be someone wanting a nice priced m3.

Interesting thread to pop up it's head again.
Price aside(which I have a feeling has hit it's apex of demand): does anyone agree that in our small country with relatively few cars and proliferation of personalised plates, a safe general statement is that altered plates of any sort are fast becoming unfashionable? Whether they say silly things or not.
Or is my taste just developing with age?
I would agree, the time has past to get a personize plate. Business like them for vechicle id.. far enough.
However in regards to the OP the main issue with plates for euro owners is they are the wrong size and they charge you to fix the over sight. The plates should be issued as euro style in the first instance and the original owner pays the extra.. if any.

Found my Old touring on Turners today. Put so much work in it. Sad to see it in this state!!
I believe it was sold to a Bimmersport member too?

Bump... anyone know? Cheers
36mm same as the big nut on the front of a m30 engine lucky I had already had the socket.

$100 million is hardly a lot of money these days.
But they will repair then not replace them?
-
Hmmmm care to elaborate there?
The bearing should be pushed towards the engine when installed.
But some threads I have read say it isnt needed.. however the book says too.
-
Looking good. A touch of satin black would blend in better on those wing mirrors.

Hi
I have also recently replace the centre bearing on my e28 535i driveshalf and what caused that was the diff nuts had lossened which then pulled one end of the drive shalf down.
That might be an area to look at.
The roads down here are very rough at them moment.
Thread hi-jack:
Anyone have a at DIY solution to driveshalf balancing? Where do I take it to get done? Just it has a small vibration remaining which I would like to get sorted out.

I tried that link on the auction but it went no where. Would be good to see how they welded it in regard to your plinth vs plate options.
Was an auction for a prebent and cut cage. It mentioned plates, but nothing more.
I meant the link on the auction for the cut cage. My bad it did mention plates.. haha who thought reading an auction can be so hard.

Dont use sealant on the rocker cover. Use a new gasket and new 1/2 moon seals. Make sure all surfaces are really clean.
Check with your local Automotive Locksmith. You might have to get a second hand one and get it recoded to your existing key
Cheers Glenn.

Hi Guys,
Quick question, Glenn you might be best for this one, you told me once to use the sealant for the sumps. And it is great no leaks. Can i use that for the rocker cover as well? or is the standard gasket the only way to go?
And a general question, the key barrel in my steering column was damaged and now it is totally not working. Can these be fixed?
Regards,
Adam

How about custom made? Measure an original and go from there.

Easy outs work best if you know the bolt in question is loose already. Getting a stuck bolt out with an easy out is just plain annoying. How did you go?
-
I would be interested to see how this works out for you Brent. What works for your beast can only be good for a little 3.5L and mine could use an upgrade.

I went to the Japan 08 GP and it was excellant. We ordered online and the tickets were sent to our hotel.

Nice car mate. You dont need to do much to make that tidy again. Congrats.

Which ball joint are you talking about taking out? I have a ball joint splitter, u can borrow.
If you are talking about the inner ball joint you can smack it down carefully with a hammer. I did this by switching an old nut onto the top, comes out easy as.

Hi mate. I have removed springs on a e28 strut while they were out. I recommend it mate. Let me know if you want some help.

Looks alot better, How long have you had it restored? Any idea if it keeps the shine?
