  3. Hi 3 Series, just PMed you re a solution for Andriod devices...
  4. I may be interested in purchasing them....
  5. I have a 1.4.0 unit and it works well....IMO it's a bit more versatile than the peak device.
  6. If its the gent I know, he used it to tow his boat which was a fairly heavy aluminium cat, and the Suburban has the highest towing capacity. I think the engine is a diesel though.
  7. Hi Andrew, I've pm'ed you regarding the Navcoder help.
  8. The Display is call a Board Monitor and yes it is fairly easy to swap out with a larger screen version with some caveats. The car may have the older Video/TV module that only supports the 4:3 display so you would need to replace that out too. Plus depending on the build date of the car you may loose some of the minor functions such as the ability to choose "scan" or "preset" channel changing via the Steering Wheel up/down buttons. When I did the change out on my YOM '96 E39 540 I ended up keeping the small fomat screen just to do the changes. There are plenty of resource on the web and here in bimmersport, just search boardmonitor
  9. Have you tried disconnecting the battery for 20-30 minutes and the reconnecting it? If the fault returns with the battery reconnected you've got a fuse or module fault, if it isn't, it was just a software hiccup
  10. Same as Hotwire, straight into the park lights and remove the park lamp. I've had no problem with wof
  11. FM-RDS-PRO from AudiovoxDice will work in your car. All the control of the music will be from the iPod/iPhone but with Track ID on the radio display. www.gadgets4u.co.nz
  12. Thanks Ron, Didn't find the date codes but running 2.5 front & back. I'll drop them to what you've recommended and try.
  13. Not run-flats just the normal 18" Dunlop SP Sports that it came with. The vehicle is just coming up to 30k and the tyres look like they have plenty of life left. Went to one local tyre place to see if they would recommend going to a 55 or 60 profile to get more sidewall, and they wouldn't. They said that the increase in rolling circumference would confuse the ASC and could cause the transmission to not get top gear etc etc Has anybody had that happen with other models? Does their theory hold up?
  14. Thanks Greg, but it adds to the confusion, I drove an '08 3.0 petrol yesterday running 17" standard wheels and didn't notice too much difference. Both the ASAP Reports didn't mention sports spension, except for the different fuel and wheel sizes everything was similar.
  15. No, 18" 45 profile normal tyres.
  16. Has anyone had experience with changing the suspension on an '09 E83 X3? I'm finding the ride a little too harsh. If yes, what setup did you use?
  17. Do they still sell the helicoil, thread repairers. I think Repco use to. Perhaps see if they have one that's the size you require.
  18. After all the advice and offers of pillows, I went ahead and did the upgrade. I got a Smart Park PDC-120PI system that was able to be fitted to the front of the car and is semi intelligent/learning in that if it "sees" an object and it stays at the same distance for more than 3 seconds it stops bleeping, but any movement and it starts bleeping again. Installation was fairly straight forward, the only struggle was getting the cables routed to behind the glove box via the ECU container in the engine bay. The spare spaces in the module rack made the perfect place for the controller and sounder with a short run to the fuse box to pick-up ignition power. The main driver of the 330, my wife likes it and if it'll help prevent a few scrapes and additional stress in parking spaces it's all good.
  19. Seen as you are open circuiting a supply line to the 4WD & ABS controller your thoughts are correct. The other possiblity is the controller itself. You would have to remove the switch mod to confirm this though.
  20. Yes it's available in NZ and yes it connects to the CD Changer plugs in the boot. There's a long cable in the kit so you can install the module in the glove box or centre console, pm me for details
  21. Dice Media Bridge with Bluetooth will stream Audio from a BT device as well as play audio from USB devices.
