To those who know- can someone explain the reason why these ships are always carrying such large quantities of this oil/crude diesel, is it all used up by the time they get to the next port or what?

I was driving along, stopped at the lights & gearbox warning light comes on, on taking off car starts shaking/vibrating on every gear change both when changing up or down.Got home parked the car, 20min later started the car, warning light is gone & car drives normally again.Anyone here experienced this sort of thing before? If so, how did you deal with it?

Another look under the hood in daylight and a bit of time searching the net has led to the discovery that a 'vent screw' is missing (broken/fell off) on the coolant pipe just behind the expansion tank.

Was driving this morning and low coolant light comes up on dash, topped up levels and noticed general area around coolant tank was wet. Drove back home (about 5km) and coolant light comes on again. This time when I opened the hood steam was gushing out of some kind of valve I suppose (looks like a hole on a coolant pipe just behind the cap on the coolant expansion tank) The steam continued gushing out for another 2-3 minutes after turning off the engine. Checked the temp gauge & was about half way up, more or less were it usually is. Any one with an idea what to expect when I visit my mechanic tomorrow?

A POLISH MAN MOVED TO THE USA AND MARRIED AN AMERICAN GIRL. ALTHOUGH HIS ENGLISH WAS FAR FROM PERFECT, THEY GOT ALONG VERY WELL UNTIL ONE DAY HE RUSHED INTO A LAWYER'S OFFICE AND ASKED HIM IF HE COULD ARRANGE A DIVORCE FOR HIM. THE LAWYER SAID THAT GETTING A DIVORCE WOULD DEPEND ON THE CIRCUMSTANCES, AND ASKED HIM THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS: LAWYER: HAVE YOU ANY GROUNDS? THE MAN: YES AND ACRE AND HALF AND NICE LITTLE HOME. LAWYER: NO, I MEAN WHAT IS THE FOUNDATION OF THIS CASE? THE MAN: IT MADE OF CONCRETE. LAWYER: I DON'T THINK YOU UNDERSTAND. DOES EITHER OF YOU HAVE A REAL GRUDGE? THE MAN: NO, WE HAVE CARPORT, AND NOT NEED ONE. LAWYER: I MEAN, WHAT ARE YOUR RELATIONS LIKE? THE MAN: ALL MY RELATIONS STILL IN POLAND . LAWYER: IS THERE ANY INFIDELITY IN YOUR MARRIAGE? THE MAN: WE HAVE HI-FIDELITY STEREO AND GOOD DVD PLAYER. LAWYER: DOES YOUR WIFE BEAT YOU UP? THE MAN: NO, I ALWAYS UP BEFORE HER. LAWYER: IS YOUR WIFE A NAGGER? THE MAN: NO, SHE WHITE. LAWYER: WHY DO YOU WANT THIS DIVORCE? THE MAN: SHE GOING TO KILL ME LAWYER: WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THAT? THE MAN: I GOT PROOF LAWYER: WHAT KIND OF PROOF? THE MAN: SHE IS GOING TO POISON ME. SHE BUY A BOTTLE AT DRUGSTORE AND PUT ON SHELF IN BATHROOM. I CAN READ, AND IT SAY: '"POLISH REMOVER".

After a big night, I cant eat anything or drink even a glass of water- what works for me is a very cold beer as soon as I get up, preferrably same type as what has resulted in the hangover, have it slowly and by the time I finish it ( or the 2nd one) I will be feeling much better or should I say well enough to have a 'near normal' day!

Was waiting to turn right at an intersection, a van coming from the opposite direction turning left stops to give way to me (as you should)and as I start moving another car comes from behind the waiting van, 'overtakes' it and we crash in the middle of the intersection.I dont think I was at fault, but I could be wrong.I need to hear other opinions before writing the incident report at work tomorrow morning( was driving a work car)

I have always relied on spotting the rectangular lights on the dash and on the rear window, thought I would never go wrong until today- followed a white hyundai from hastings towards welly , saw the lights on the rear window ,convinced undercover cops & was scared to overtake as the guy was doing about 100km/h. An hour or so later, the guys pulled over in Dannevirke and as I passed glanced at the driver- yes he was in uniform, St Johns ambulance uniform and the car had the lights on the dash too! So the lights are unreliable, what else can i look for?

I was watching the Champions League soccer final (Manchester Utd vs Barcelona) on TV thursday morning. The stadium was packed and and you could hear the spectators making noise for the 90 minutes.Apart from the spectators you could also hear the 'thud' noise everytime the ball was kicked. My question is how did they manage that? Where was the microphone that was picking up this sound when the ball was kicked, all this in a stadium packed with noisey fans .

Can anyone explain the logic behind closing down some passing lanes on state highways during public holidays? Is it meant to improve traffic flow? (seems to achieve the exact opposite if you ask me)

Guys whats your view on warning other drivers about police presence on the roads by flashing your headlights?I think we should all do it- not only do you save someone from getting a ticket but most importantly people tend to slow down when you warn them.
