So... they're pretty much the bees knees? lol and wow i just realised how rare a manual 325i is... Just checked trademe
-
Awesome. I was thinking about doing this conversion one day in an E36 too. Would love to see how it comes out, gl mate

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-185128924.htm Asking 8g for an E30 316i 8g is a lot for any E30 lol Is the 316i quite rare in NZ?
-
If you don't mind me asking. Why the E30 318is specifically?
-
mmmmmmmmm that's nice I want one
-
Meh, all the GTi needs is an increase in boost and it'll fly. And i'm not only comparing them to the E30 but also various other cars i have driven. Including E36s and skylines. The VR6 could boost my mate's S15 anyday. Though this is through country roads lol..
-
Lol try a Mk4 VW Golf GTi Or a Mk3 VR6 After driving those i was almost put off E30s. Even BMWs for that matter! Their cornering + Braking ability is just insane! If it weren't for my love of high compression Straight sixes and RWD cars then i might be logged onto vask right now
-
This wouldn't be the 318is that accompanied you to the GP Meat would it??
-
10x more fun 100x more expensive I know which one i'd choose
-
Oooh man.. one of the many perils of having dialup lol.. Finally loaded, and it was worth the wait VERY nice car, especially liking that 1st shot. You can see the red sky under the car Looks hot lol
-
Yeah maybe you should try an E30. Much better cars imo Just as long as you don't slam it on chromes and paint it candy green or something
-
Yeah i'd love to be able to restore this car ae. But i'd rather not waste my time undo-ing somebody elses mistake. I'm also way too poor lol btw how much would a stock standard E30 touring cost?? It might end up being a bargain once all of the stupid mods have been sold..
-
7.95. And i'm completely sober lol!! 3.91 2nd try. Guess i just have bad eyes ae lol
-
Don't like it. But atleast the chromes aren't Vaults AND DA SELLA DUZNT TAWK LEIK DIZ. Bah now those things i REALLY hate. Especially when it's a (Previously) good car. Like an E30 Touring!! grrr

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-181576595.htm If it weren't for all the ridiculous mods they'd probably have it sold by now Surely this can't be anyone on here No BMW enthusiast would do this to such a great car...

1. E36 M3 Evo - Looks, speed, handling -Drool- 2. Mint condition E30 Touring (Always wanted one) 3. E39 M-Sport - Was following one on the motorway the other day and thought it looked hot 4. E46 330ci - Modern, Fast, comfortable 5. Mtech2 E30 With a M60B40 conversion - E30s are fun to drive, V8 cars are fun to drive. Put them together

I'm suprised you inbox isn't overflowing with pictures, Ollie. There are a hell of a lot of really hot BMWs on here. And i've seen that a lot of you guys are quite camera savvy too lol. But yeah just my 2c lol Gl with the calendar, i'd contribute but it's not a demolition derby calendar.. so my car woudn't really fit in lol...

http://www.redbook.co.nz This site will give you the new price for almost all cars.

Mint! I want one lol
-
Piece of art ae?? Looks to me like a piece of... something else...
-
That's just whack! lol it will destroy all in it's path

Haha i would sell the 318i but it's just been so useful as a parts car since my brother blew the head gasket and made a mess of the entire engine while trying to fix it again. I think the only thing that has any worth on the entire car is the tyres which are almost brand new (They didn't get much use before the headgasket blew). I'd probably have to pay someone to get it off the section lol i've pretty much just used it to make my 320i look like something i might have actually paid money for, rather than just towing it off a mate's front lawn, replacing the battery and getting it registered in my name (Which is what i did ) haha i think it was his parts car to begin with but he sold his other E30 so had no use for it. Only took a few weeks and a small amount of money (and a little DIY) to get it a WOF. I should probably take the other E30 off my "Ride" thing but just haven't got around to it..
-
Agreed. When i got my car the shocks were REALLY bad. The car would sway from side to side when ever i went faster than 70kph yet it had no problem getting a warrant.. I've replaced them with some KYB gas shocks now but man it was scary on the motorway before that lol especially when you're in the lane next to the barrier

Haha ok first thing. The springs aren't much lower than stock so if i get pulled over i doubt i'd get flagged for being too low. It looks about the same height as a stock Motorsport E30. Second. The springs are definately not loose enough to move whilst the car is on the road, even during hard cornering. Third. I do have trouble saving, it's the fact that i'm in highschool with an on/off job - mostly off - So all my money usually ends up inside my fuel tank so i can get to school and back everyday. Only reason i could afford the springs was because i was on holiday so i was able to work everyday to earn a little more money. Sadly i'm back at school (and in the midst of exams ) so it's back to the measly $20 a week. But thanks for all the advice guys i do intend on making it legal soon, i'll probably just end up putting the stock fronts back in. But i'm definately gonna have it checked by a specialist first. Though it doesn't really matter at the moment as the engine has the coolant leak that needs fixing before it'll go anywhere. I'll probably just end up making my dad pay for all the work on the suspension (seeing as he's the one that won't let me drive a dodgy car). Just means i'll be working for him over the next holidays...

Thanks for the help guys, luckily i kept the stock springs so i'll probably just end up switching them back in for the WOF. Just dreading it coz it was such a hassle getting the lowering springs in.. But i won't have to worry about that for atleast a couple of months lol
