  1. in karaka new subdivision by the motorway where the bloodstock centre is
  2. i have my old rack from a e36 325i , sleight leak, in papakura
  3. no problem thought some of you guys might like this . since some of you guys keep asking what you can do to your 318i 318is engine to improve it etc
  4. sounds like you got the 240 shaft from a 318i not a 320i , as the m40 engine sits further forward in the engine bay than the M20
  5. yes they fit , did one like that into my 325i . just have to fit a temp sensor up the front of the car , inside the left brake duct pipe. and run a 2 wires back to the obc . pretty straight forward .
  6. sorry about the quality , just used a digital camera to take pics of the magizine some good reading and advice . enjoy
  7. m10 and m30 bellhousings are the same . different to m20 and m40 engines
  8. yes 510,000km now . its due for a repaint now ,has had some paint work done down left side and rear end after a couple of insurance jobs from people bumping into me , but i am going to put it in for a full job soon . a little bit of rust work to be done , will replace the bonnet and sunroof panel with better ones i have in stock.
  9. E32 750iL . nothing sounds quite like V12 start up . orsome wall of continuious torque that just keeps on pulling
  10. yes they do . m40 , m20 , m50 , m52 , m42 ,m43 ,m44 type engines all have the same bell housing shape . the difference is that the twin cam, engines lean over a bit more , so the angles are different for the gear lever and mounts etc. but nothing that cant be sorted .
  11. i think they survived the drivers airbag went off , the cabin was still pretty much i shape, just lots of broken glass and lots of scrapes down all over the shell. yes i normally wouldn't bother with that sort of wreck but it did have a manual gearbox kit (which is what i needed) car was cheapish , freight was heaps (non runner , non roller ,came up from masterton). hi , its a vanos engine .only done 150,000km ecu and engine loom set up for 5speed manualwhy do you want a nonvanos?? turbo?? i also have another 325i vanos engine m50 still in the car .
  12. just a quick update . got the car back today from the revinning crowd , just need to fix the play in the steering rack ends/tierods etc ( just fit some new ones i suppose) also adjust right side headlight , give the car a full alignment , get the engineer to tick off the repair damage to the right side , then buy some plates and reg etc . so should be sorted by end of next week etc then off to the painter . then convert it to a 5spd manual , sort out some nice bilsteins or koni shocks . fit the stereo system from my other car. swap the 17" mk motorsport wheels over swap the seats out for the M3 cloth vaders or the black leather manage to pick a donar 5speed gearbox kit from a rolled 93 325i . already had instock a 318is 5spd kit , but would have prefered to use a 6cylinder . this car came up . what a mess . not a straight panel on it . been rolling and sliding down the road . only one bit of glass was left . one tail light light and one side light . engine is fine (apart form a cracked sump ,rocker cover and ali bracket that holds the oil filter housing and brackets for the alternator and power steering pump) some nice 18" advanti's that need a little loving . some cloth sport seats , nice/rice aftermarket ali gear knob and handbrake handle
  13. i have a pair . will not sell just one though . 021433600
  14. only the lastest X5 has a 7 seat option , maybe 2007 onwards?? about $90-$100k
  15. 8pm tonight . http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-225132765.htm

    Door rubbers.

tell me about it , a door swap for a e36 coupe .takes about 2-3hrs . every thing needs to be stripped out then put back in
  17. e34 535i and e32 735i use the same sump. and yes that will fit your e30. e23 735i , e28 535i and e24 635csi use a larger sump and will hit the cross member
  18. dont worry been there done that . spent lots of money/time on stupid old cars with small motors before . like hilman hunters , toyota corolla sr coupe ,etc etc . but have learnt a lot over the years , thats why i offer this advice , save yourself the grief , but hey a m42 engined e30 should be fun and a good learning curve . or maybe try a M44 1.9L has more torque (if i was going to do a e30 thats what i would use)
  19. got this 1995 320i coupe driving shell for sale . still got a very good engine low km 2L vanos m50 engine (130k) , 5 speed auto trans , diff , jamex lowered springs , sitting on 15" steel wheels . good brakes , no panels or glass . front struts , heater still works , alarm , tatty sport seats, air bags removed , helmet not included 0-100km/h in about 7sec offers around $1000 (worth more in parts) 021433600 was just going to strip it and sell off the bits , but thought someone here might want to do a conversion (upgrade) into there e36 318ti 316ti 318i 316i , e30 318i 320i , e28 520i 525e etc .
  20. no 3.8L 6speeds sold in nz . there are few import m5's from japan ,singapore and uk etc . few have sold on trade me recently from $12k to $20k etc including 2 that where built up from using a 520i 525i body with all the running gear from non compliant LHD m5 from japan
