Hi, I am loking to replace the shocks on my e36 touring, they are shot. I would normally replace with OEM parts, but VJ at Page European suggests i would be just as well off with Monroe shocks. Apart from a cost saving what else are people using? I am keeping the car standard therefore wont be fitting mtech or bilsteins. Thanks

Most of the ones in NZ are NZ new. In the last few months I have seen 4 for sale. They are great cars except one problem - everybody thinks you have stuck an M3 badge on the boot of your 320! I owned the Byzanz car, should have kept it, but my problem is I am always looking at something else.

I am looking at an e36 328 with 150km its an auto. It is a New Zealand new car and the auto has had a service in January, however I can't get my head around 150kms, I have bought alot of BMW's but not with that many k's( bar one ). Am I heading for disaster as I can't be bothered going from Wellington to AKL to view it.

Hi Martyn looks nice, I checked out a 1997 528 kiwi new touring out the hutt today, was ok 140km's relatively cheap. What sort of money did you pay as I am also hunting one out. By the way, walk into GT Continental ask for catherine she is their finance manager and she can give you a price for a warranty, she can sell you one if you wish. My understanding is they have pretty good per claim limits now. Richard

On the subject of Tourings, I am after an e34 touring in very good condition.

In the UK where the car was imported from ( am i right ) they had a 3.0 M3 sedan which carried on to the evo model. I think these were produced 1995 on hence the orange indicators.
-
sorry to hear about the theft. As an importer what would you be selling a car like this for in NZ, i am looking for a car similar.
-
Not david brace's, that car had 190 km, not 120 km and that sold for $10500.
-
I agree with the Gus, the people who are will pay these prices do not generally visit these sites, i mean 7-8k today is not alot of money for anyone other than a 19 year old. This is an old argument but martyyn go and have alook at it!. Maybe if he was nice he might show you his other cars, think carbon black mtech 2 M325i, 40 000 kms from new!
-
Easy 7 to 8k, I know the car you are talking about and the owner and you will not find a better e30 outside a M325i in NZ hands down. The owner is the most fastidious knowlegable genuine guy who maintains his cars to the point of obsession. You will not go wrong and the guys saying you are paying too much simply have no idea, there is no car that even comes close to this. Ring Jeff Gray ask for Mark in parts and mention his name they will fill you in on Brian and his cars.

Due to me being unable to own a car longer than 6 months, I now have for sale a set of BRAND NEW M3 Evo alloys and F1 GS-D3 tyres. I have had the wheels about two months but only fitted to the car two weeks ago. The car has now been sold to my mother in law, but she is not having the wheels. They are the twin spoke 17 inch M3 Evo coupe variety, which are staggered 7.5 front 8.5 rear. they were bought from Jeff Gray in Wellington. Now the front cost $832 each and the rear $911 each plus $1000 worth of tyres. Thats $4500! I am tempted to keep them in case I buy another M3. But am open to offers, I expect to loose alot of money!
-
No nothing exciting, just standard equip from a 318is.
-
2 Rear shocks out of a 1990 e30 318is, the 318is ran on 325 running gear. Offers
-
No from Wellington, I almost bought it from the last auckland owner. I was looking for the best available. In hindsight i realise what i could have bought for that 2002 330 coupe much better!
-
Yes for $40K!! Glad I didn't I ended up buying the M3 sedan from Cooke Howlison. I did not want the smg
-
BMW Power, what did your car end up selling for, it had smg right? I won't even tell you what i was going to pay for it last year
-
Black, Drivers side only.

Anyone wanting a brand new B pillar trim for an e36 sedan. i am open to offers. I bought it after I had my seat repaired and the guys repairing it dragged the base of the seat over the trim gouging it. never got around to putting it in before i sold the car
-
There is no dispute this particular car is way overpriced. I disagree on the value of an e28 M5 however, one of BMW's original muscle cars. If a car is rare( in NZ ) then a collector will pay the big bucks and keep it for those fine days? ( sounds like a boat in wellington! ). On another note I can't stand the cheap shots that watchers on trade me let fly with. I mean if you have no intention of bidding on an auction why comment. By the way martyn your e30 has come up well
-
I agree, that particular car is over priced. However what would pay if you had the money for one with say 40KM on it and looked like it had just been delivered? I believe price goes out the window when a car is in perfect show room condition. They do not make them anymore so you will never get another. Take the e28 M5 for sale at 34k how many others are for sale! Will that car depricate or appreciate, I know if i had the cash I wouldn't mind spending that sort of money which isn't really alot to tuck away a classic.
