  1. It's sad, Newzealand is sad.

I see the humour in it thanks to movies like Boy and working and growing up with genuine "bros", but on the flip side it is incredibly sad that to try get the message across it seems NZ has to [dumb it]* right down and connect with kiwis with humour about a very very serious subject.

Although, if it gets the message across - well done.

*[dumb it] - Not intentionally being offensive here, it's the only adjective I could really think that was suitable or came to mind.

  2. Pretty much, Mike @ Synthe is a legend.

Picked up my car and had everything done by the time I finished work for a VERY reasonable price. Even went the extra mile and replaced an engine mount that needed doing.

Thanks 100 times over, massive time saver.

Aparantly I smashed the sum real good too - cracked top to bottom. Well done, sump guard sounds like a go.

  3. Andy bmw3 had one a while ago. Def dont re-weld.

I tried a few sticks of gum to just hold the oil in until I could tow her instead of spilling her guts out on the ground, but yeah.. They disintegrated from heat, worked for about 30 seconds.

  4. I ah, smashed my sump on the Monday.

I want a baffled one now.

    Options as I see them:

    1. Weld current one + baffles

    2. Buy one from Ray + baffles

    3. Buy one already baffled

Ashkans sending me some plans or something similar to his setup so I can have an idea of what's needed. I'm not doing the work myself except maybe unbolting the old and bolting the new - may even just leave with Pit Stop as I'm chocka at work even through this weekend.

I guess what I'm asking is, does anyone have a baffled sump spare/kicking around at the moment?

Minor laugh of the day was almost destroying a friends Pug clutch trying to tow me up a hill.. Hmm, that failed. Tow truck succeeded.

  5. I'll be honest, Rotiforms are getting past use by date in my opinion. They don't hold the timelessness of some other rims I feel and are getting more and more associated with wanky money thrower arounders.

Kind of like a rapper with his Lambos.

Still a sweet ride and I would def not say no to a free/cheap set of BLQs.
