Land Transport (Enforcement Powers) Amendment Bill

I can't see anything but good coming from this - nice one Mr Key & co. So there's going to be a few muppets crying over there squished pieces of crap - so what? Its not like they aren't going to have an opportunity to quit their anti-social BS antics before the crush - and it they don't figure it out then they probably never will. I won't be rushing out to invest in a car crushing business any time soon, as I can't really see too many getting the squish.... -
Totally agree with the thoughts Glenn. Being a relative noob to Bimmers I've found the help and advice I have received from moderators and other members of this forum to be invaluable. I hate to think that these guys would pack it in because they get sick of putting out other peoples' flame wars and dealing with other BS. Keep it clean, on topic, and these forums will be a great place to be. Cheers Iball

I had what sounds like the same problem this week in my e46 the click click noise when trying to start - it turned out to be a stuffed battery (which in turn stuffed the alternator). I did manage to jump start the car - but if you can't get another car near it, being in the garage and all, maybe those portable jump units would be an option (could be expensive though). All fixed - 1 stuffed batttery and 1 cooked alternator. Big thanks to Glenn at Botany Motor Worx Cheers Iball

Glenn - i replaced it this morning on the side of the road - I didn't check the charge rate or anything, just replaced the battery with what Bosch recommneded for an E46 330i a DIN65.
-
Glenn - I've checked that the new battery has been put in around the right way (its a Bosch DIN65) and its right. The warning light didn't come on before I replaced the battery - it stayed on after starting the engine once I replaced the battery. I'd had a problem last week with the old battery - I charged it over the weekend and it seemed OK until this morning when it died while I was driving to work. Which fuses should I check? Cheers Iball

Glenn - Any ideas where the best place for that would be? BMW or can you guys do it? And do you think it will be OK to drive or should I get it towed? Cheers Iball

Guys I replaced the battery in my e46 this morning, and now the battery indicator light is staying on while I was driving around - is thre something I forgot to do or reset or is it more likely to be something to do with the alternator & or belts? Cheers Iball

Guys got an issue starting my e46 - the ignnition comes on (radio works etc) however ther is just a clicking noise when I try starting the car. I have jumped started the car and driven around for 20 minutes or so, but when I switch it off, it just clicks again. Not sure if its the battery (flat or completely stuffed), or the altenator not charging the battery at all? Any thoughts? Cheers Iball

Anyone know how to find out the production date of an e46 imported from Japan? Unfortunatley my Japanese is non-existant, and I can't decipher the door jam sticker... Cheers Iball

This is the number I have - WBAEV52040KL91754 I'm not sure if this is the correct number - where should I be looking if its the wrong one? Cheers IBall

Anyone have any idea on how much a electronic key costs for a 2003 e46? Cheers Iball

I've been in one crash, seen 3 others, and countless near misses from A*@holes running reds around Auckland. The crash cost $8,000 to repair and the biarch had no insurance (thats another problem they need o fix). I'm not a huge fan of the big-brother-watching-you-mentality, but they need these cameras pretty much on every intersection on Ti Rakau drive - in my experience the worst piece of road for running reds in Auckland. Cheers I
