Awesome stuff guys, will have a thorough read when I’m home from work.
Thanks for that Doug. I appreciate it, I'll be sure to drop you a line.
Ollie, I'm currently working in IT Sales which involves aspecs of business to business procurement, services and build integration.
I also like the idea of following an emerging technology through shareholding. However then I've got questions like, do I diversify and invest in several sectors as I imagine this would be safer? Or take a risk and just follow the one. I guess there’s no real right or wrong answer huh?
I guess the downside of stocks (probably my materialistic generation speaking here) is the fact that it’s not as tangible as buying a house/apartment and renting it out?
Total noob here guys, but please keep the discussion going. Good stuff!

Right, so I've spent the latter part of this year working myself debt free and cash positive. But am looking for some guidance at this stage for the next step.
My names Matt, I'm 20, have a solid job of nearly 3 years earning good coin for my age, with little outgoings* (insert correct term here) and I'm looking to take the first step towards my first home, potential investment or your suggestion.
I understand being young is essentially a good thing because I can take larger risks in terms of an investment / stocks etc... But I'm keen to get peoples thoughts on what to do, who to speak to and what I need etc.
Really I'm just at the stage where I’m researching different ideas, i understand there a many many options and just want opinions as I'm sure there are many successful property owners, investors etc here on BS
Discuss!
Cheers,
Matt

- Case and Centre are with a friend to have the center swapped, lockup and preload adjusted and set.
- Still trying to get my money back off those scamming f**ks.
- Supplier for the front indicators is retarded.
- Need tech-2 rear bumper and side mouldings to join the cool crew.

Surely there must be something more suitable (read: Aerodynamic) than a 1980's styled heavy-ass rectangle with wheels
Cool idea though, will watch this closely.
Edit - Forgot to actually add something contructive!
If I was you looking at the same project I would be leaning towards a light fwd hatchback as my base.
Less mass to move, less drivetrain loss, more bang for your buck.

hahah dude.

Will people (mods) have a rage if I post something to that flavour up?

Just an FYI guys.
Tyremate.co.nz who are local importers of copy FRP bodykits have gone under and taken my $430 deposit with them (Or so they think)
So if you have any ourstanding orders and are unable to contact them please PM me and I can pass on all the information I've gathered this afternoon.
Cheers,

Can you tell us how you fixed the other door locks? My central looking just took a sh*t and died. Is it one of those things where you take everything out, turn it over in your hands a few times, put it back in and it works, or are there specific things you can do?
Hey buddy, we ripped everything out of the doors bar the windows and regs.
Cleaned everything, made sure that the push/pull rods 1) were connected (lol) and 2) not bent out of shape.
Also a good idea to check the lock motors & their wiring. One of mine had toasted wiring.
Pain in the ass job really..
Strangely I also found a working horn button in my drivers side door.. Factory anti theft/alarm thing?
Also to all those people who dont have working drivers windows - Cut your loom boot off and check your door jam wiring. Mine had seen better days.
Still looking for help btw!

Chrome.

Switches.
And dont just replace the console ones. A faulty passenger door switch will also prevent things from working.

The pain, Arghhh I feel it too, except all the locks and windows and sunroof all work and springs dont fly out and try to stab me in the eyeballs.
Go have a beer or 2 or 7 and then have a go at it in the morning. I hate those things that you spend hours and hours and HOURS and more hours swearing and hitting things with hammers and then you give up and lie in bed all night thinking. and then you walk up to it the next day and its done in 5 mins.
I'll help you drink some beers while you do it.. I have malfunctioning limbs so I will be of no help other than consuming alcohol and laughing at you laughing at me because I am broken.
Right my weekend has officially started
Honestly bro...We had all 4 windows and other 3 locks sorted in about an hour TOTAL.
We then spent about 2.5 hours AT LEAST on this one lock.
I feel better now that I'm balencing my alcohol to blood level correctly
The E30 defeated me for sure tonight. Hell, I don't even know WTF to do from this stage, so frustrating..
Malfunctioning limbs sounds interesting to say the least. Im helping a mate with an engine swap tomorrow morning, so may give it a crack in the afternoon.
If anyones got any tips..Please share!

lol... If you want to make it fit:
Seriously though..
IMO the offset and width is fine. Personally however, I don't think 18's on standard guards look or fit very well, but anyway.. if you dig it then thats all that matters. This means if you want to make 'em fit and fit well you are really going to have to man up. Your going to need a lot more of a simple roll to sort it out.. If its rubbing with just you in the car your definately in trouble when it comes to 3 or 4 people!
Whip that wheel off and see where it's rubbing, grab a hammer and heatgun and start beating that inner guard upward and out. Hell if you really like them, make them work! Make the car fit the wheels..
Pretty rough a retail mag and tyre shop letting the general public roll out like that.. cowboys man...
Ps - Fix your front rideheight... looks wack.

Haha pics of your knob dude.
RE offset:
I guess its technically +2 now seeing as ive got 10mm spacers all around. IMO the front sits nicely (albiet a bit high) but the rear is too weak. Ideally i'd run around -5 on the back.
Yep have long decided on a colour. And once we get the diff back in (tonight hopefully!) I'll be finishing the panel work then start throwing some colour down.
I've had to slow down a wee bit on the car as I've been trying to sort my sh*t out financially. Mind you I never had a timeframe and it was more of a toy too muck around with... so its all good!
You on the NZSilvia or s-chassis forums?
/Edit - Might as well update you cats on some E30 drifting!
So the much loved Commrades E30 "Dowork" is getting new feet and a new powerplant.
It gets Nissans CA18DET. Also a D-Drug wing.. Haruguchi style!
