This is a good way to get a cheap Euro plate, which in my opinion looks a lot nicer that standard government plates on our cars.

    $300, free shipping.

-- Plate is the German word for 'Scream / yell', so it's at least somewhat fitting for a German car!

  2. Hi,

Having some issues with erratic idle and an infrequent slight loss of power. Spark plugs were replaced with no difference, but I've noticed when the MAF is disconnected, idle is perfect and there is no hesitation when revving in neutral.

I've cleaned the MAF and again, no difference. I'm thinking the likely culprit is a bad MAF.

My question is, is anybody willing to let me borrow their working MAF to test?

  3. Sorry if I haven't searched the forums enough for an answer, but I have one of the 2 button Siemens keys with remote unlocking

After replacing the batteries a couple of years ago, not knowing that you have to be quick to not require a reinitialize, I had to go to the dealer to recode them.

I only brought 1 key with me which went through the laundry and is now out of action, so I need to reprogram the second key which is identical.

The dealership essentially just got in the car, held down a few buttons on the key and got it working.

I found online a few variations on how to do this which mostly say:

Get in the car, sit down, close the door, put the key in and turn it to "1" for a couple of seconds (not more than 5), then take out the key. Hold down unlock for a few seconds and while holding, press lock 3 times and let go of both buttons.. I have done that, and the LED flashes for about 10 seconds on the key but then nothing.

Has anybody done this before who can tell me what I'm doing wrong or is it back to the dealership?

    Thanks!

  4. that's a good deal!

It has certainly paid for itself. I was down to my last few demerit points before I bought this, and haven't had a ticket since. Thankfully they've reset now but I'm sure I'll need to get another one of these in the future.

  5. Hey,

Looking to sell my Valentine One radar. It's just over 1 year old, which is nothing for one of these.

Working perfectly, I still have the box and the stealth wiring kit unused.

Selling as I need to buy a new phone, current one is giving up :(

    $640 for bimmersport members

  6. Hey,

Got a few leftovers from my recent transmission conversion.

I have shifter linkages from a Getrag 225 along with a clutch and flywheel used on my e36 323i

There should also be a working starter motor in the box.

All parts were working, but clutch had a slip at high RPM as it wasn't the right clutch for my car. Might be fine on an engine with less power.

    Located in Birkenhead

Also have some Euro plate surrounds which I no longer need.. $10

Nobody want them? I'll throw in the euro plate surrounds free if you just take it away! Cant be bothered throwing away usable parts at the rubbish dump

  8. Hey guys. I'm going to look at an e36, 323i this evening and were hoping you guys could tell me anything to look out for, when checking it out. cheers

Just the normal stuff really. If it's M52 remember the nikasil issue.

Control arms are using in need of replacement.

    Radiator

Hoses underneath the car, see if any are drenched in oil.

Nothing really that unique besides the nikasil components which I think only matters if poor fuel was used in it during early life.

  9. Forgot you need 2 mud flaps. Durrr...

    Hmm.

I have an order that's in progress at the moment at the value of $1000, for the original M-Spec suspension upgrade kit (shocks and springs and sways) and also control arm set fuel filter and some other stuff.. and the shipping is minimal even on UPS 3 day international.

It's meant to be shipping today but I think theres going to be a delay.

If you get back to me by 1PM and are with ASB bank and can xfer funds straight away, I will contact them to add the mud flaps to the order. Shouldn't increase shipping by much more than $10 - $15.

  10. So, I now have a Getrag 250 gearbox. A brand new Luk flywheel. A brand new Sachs Clutch Kit. A brand new clutch slave. And I've also had to order a new starter motor, a selector rod and a shifter arm.

I've got all of these except the shifter arm

    Part number is 25 11 1 221 541 and found in 320i 325i (M50) & 320i (M52) 323i (M52)

I have one from 2.8L and it's not the right size so must be from one of the above.

Does anybody have one lying round?
