    Broadband

Hey Dan , I'd be happy to look into this for you. Send me an email with details. I'm at the Telecom Botany store Thursday late night if you want to come in. Could be various issues, but I can talk to staff with expertise. include that you are the bimmersport member, I have the memory of a fish. [e] email removed, if you want to contact Yasthil send a PM.
  2. Very keen... I'll take 2 if I'm not too late black - 318 ti Unpainted - E28 (let me know if this will fit, or cut to suitable size and charge me accordingly) Plus, I have a friend who will paint at a very reasonable cash price, and as an alternative I can offer a contact who can do a vinyl wrap in any colour or finish. Both are based in East Auckland, both professional companies. Yasthil - 0276555880 or yasthil.bhownath@telecom.co.nz Just let me know when you need payment and pick/delivery costs/details Thanks, been wanting to see this on my E28, and the 318ti sorts my bro's christmas gift.
  3. Hey All, Glenn made an excellent point on an earlier attempt at this request - I'm after a panel beater that will do a solid. reliable repair at a fair price. I have a few body repairs (1 for WOF) that I need done. It is a job that can be done in parts or all at once, but my primary focus is to find a trustworthy, experience panel beater, preferably someone who has restoration experience. Any help would be appreciated Please call, text, post or email me, Yasthil 0276555880 - yasthil.bhownath@telecom.co.nz Reh
  4. Excellent point, I'm just wanting a good recommendation. Someone who has a proven ability, rather than going to any apnel shop. I have had the job quoted by two panel shops, and am happy to pay for a good job. More so, I want certainty that the repair will be done well. I think I should have titled it a panel beater mate, or a bimmer sport recommended repairer.
  5. Hey all, I have to get a rust repair for WOF, Under body minor cosmetic, side sills(lower) and a dent in the guard. Any recommendations on an expereinced BMW panel beater that wont just bog the car? E28 1984 5 Series. No Painting needed, I have a painter lined up, I'm just after an experienced well priced panel beater. Thanks - Yasthil Text or Email - 0276555880 - yasthil.bhownath@telecom.co.nz
  6. BETTERYou could potentially get this one closer to that price, and it has almost 50,000 less k's. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-209242463.htm http://images.trademe.co.nz/photoserver/31/89677831_full.jpg Mind you, black does look good. (Sorry about the links)
  7. Just buy it already Shaun, 2k for a BMW that has been with 1 owner for the past 11 years is a good deal. You're not going to find a more solid manual sedan at that price. Buy it! If you want someone to look over the car, take it to Glenn at Botany MotorWorx. He will give you an honest judgment, as well as offer a fair price should the car need any work done to it. There are enthusiasts in this club with a wealth of information, and parts. If you're not sure, just ask Roshen how HellBM has sorted him out.
  8. I have seen this car around East Auckland. It does look and sound like a well loved example. Photo's never seem to do E34's justice, and this car looks great up close and on the road. 5500 is a fair price.
  9. Further on the point you make Jimbo, I have been pulled up for having a factory installed Remus exhaust system on an HSV, I don't think that's a common problem faced by "the middle age red holden drivers club of NZ". But a young man in a manual HSV, in traffic.... ALARM bells go off. The greatest irony in all this debate is that no one is specifically addressing the minor injustices regarding the generally accepted type casting that happens. I'm sure most of you will understand my plight. I have always had modified cars, like wise I have always been pulled up and interrogated unnecessarily. In my 13 years as a fully liceneced driver I have 1 speeding fine. I also happen to drive a VR4 Legnum and an E28 BMW. Am I a boy racer? What about my 50+ neighbour. He has a 2008 HSV, and a Harley. Is he a boy racer? Or the old Mum down the street with the lowered Mazda 6 Sport, with 18"s and an after market exhaust system. Is she a boy racer? Everyone is looking to blame someone else? Raise the age, it's the police, policy needs to change, blah blah blah. At best we can take responsibility for our own actions and at least encourage friends and family to do the same. Attaching a label to a non-existent societal group is pointless, it merely mis-directs our attention away from the issues. Just my late night blurb, BUT I would love to have a definition of the term boy racer? I guess to be PC we'd better include girl, maybe a 25-34, 35-50, 50-til you can't drive, Red Holden Club, Blue Ford Club, off duty Police Officers, and of course the can't f*%king drive Racers..... I could go on, but I think you get the picture. Definition: Boy Racer????? If we define boy racers, maybe then police and the public alike will take notice of the other "groups" causing havoc on our roads.
  10. Unfortunately it's on the body, above the fuel filler! have got a few quotes, will post up tomorrow.
  11. BNORTY - have only one original the other was lost in a move???? Have a longer South African Plate as well. $500 non-negotiable (Caution Large Images...of a MINI)
  12. Hey all, My car was kicked by some sh*t head kids. I need any recommendations toward finding a panel beater who is great with body work, not concerned with paint. Trying to get this fixed as cost effectively (CHEAPPPPP) as possible. PM me or text or call 0276555880 Yasthil
  13. Hey guys, Will attach photo's Friday evening, and specific details. Classic and older factory rims available, full sets between 250 and 400. Mainly E28, E34, and E30. I can get pricing on tyres( (also semi slicks), or if you supply your own I can arrange free fitting and balancing. Furthermore, I can arrange painting or refurbishment or polishing, or at least provide quotes from reputable workshops. just getting the word out, these will not be advertised anywhere else, only on Bimmersport, some are available through various mag dealers throughout NZ. (Only selling wheels specifically for a straight fit, I cannot and will not supply adapters or spacers) More info to come.
  14. I've got a tow bar on mine... I'm in Auckland. But, send me and email and I'll reply with some pics of mine. yasthilb@gmail.com or TEXT 021 1844244 / 027 6555880 Hope I can be of help.
  15. TRS Team Official Launch Date for WCDMA is June 9th. It's basically a fully capable GSM Network. Better Data speeds. More opportunities to offer dynamic services. If you're interested in more information regarding this or the new TOTAL HOME package or ADSL2, please feel free to email me... yasthil.bhownath@telecom.co.nz
  16. That is very true, I have a very sad VR4 in my garage, however I think the last owner did not buy this with the intent on building up a classic BMW, rather I believe it was an impulsive buy. Who leaves a classic BMW parked on the road, but puts an old Levin in the garage? Nutter! Any way, the car is running much better thanks to parts from Marti, and a bit of work from Ross at Independant BMWorkshop.
  17. Suprmely Frustrated at the moment. Just found out I have to replace most of the driveline components, and repairand replace a large portion of the brake assembly. The question I pose is... Why do people not spend the money to maintain their rides. The last owner, not Kimmie, did nothing for this car but damage it and park it out on the road AAARRRGGHHH. Any who - more money to spend, but as always when it's going on the car, it's money spent well.
  18. For me it's the E30, My friend bought a M325i, my cousin in SouthAfrica has an M325iS. The looks are ageless, the build quality is high, and it's just got a presence about it. I like the quality, looks and performance of most classic BMW's, and the things you can do to them, like V8 transplants, or dropping an M5 6cyl into an E30. There's alot of talk of luxury, but BMW's are trumped by Merc's in this area, mainly because they truly are about the experience, not just luxury. (I know it's a bit cheesy)

    Okta Touch

Sorry, I was unclear, I'm not sure what the network frequency will be, but I can check that out and get back to you guys. The GSM/WCDMA handsets that will be offered are going to be quad band. The current T3G network will not support the new network, that's why Telecom has been putting up cell towers everywhere. There are currently 5000 Telecom GSM handset in the mass market on trail. There's a bit more info available in Telecom stores. As for the plans - Anytime, Mytime and Business FLEXI plans own anything Vodafone is offering at the moment. And Telecom now has a set up similar to Best Mate. The new network will bring with it new offers and plans, plus a provisioning platform that allows Telecom to be exceptionally vdynamic in offering specials and additional services. As for the iPhone, VodaNZ is offering the crapiest plans in the world. A typical example of a Non-New Zealand owned company taking advantage of a product's appeal. It doesn't phase me, cos I've never had Vodafone 3g coverage in my area.....2 minutes from Botany Town Centre!

    Okta Touch

Hey Guys, The OKTA Touch is an HTC Touch. There is no difference other than a bit of branding software added by OKTA. As for CDMA - Telecom will launch it's WCDMA network later this year - 2100mHz GSM. New handset Range to accompany it as well. It's a 4g network, basically max download and max upload, but unlike Voda's crap 3g coverage, it'll ACTUALLY covers greater Auckland. Plus Point - unlock the 3G iPhone - run it on the new telecom network - better coverage, better plans

    Personalised Plates

That last guy was a nut.... 5TUP1D DR1F7A I've had one for years, was on my Mini - BNORTY Was meant to be a pun... Open to offers if anyones keen.
  22. That was the previous owner, he didn't really care much for it. Let it sit out on the road! It now resides in East Auckland. In a comfy double garage, as it should be.
  23. I think the universal joint or center bearing hanger has failed completely. I'm happy with it, needs a bit of work though.
