you can but the key needs to be unlock to be reused. only certain key version can be unlocked.

A good mechanic should know how to bring up live data on their scan tool and check sensors. if you're out of luck ping me a message, definitely can resolve your issue with my tools and coding software. I work with a lot of workshops around wellington  programing modules, ecu cloning, immo deletes etc.

CCC unit are so old now the processor starts to fail. most likely the solder needs to be reflowed. a bit of work involved as I use to repair these.

Yes, you can send ecu. e60's they're located on the right side corner under bonnet. 

I can help if you require a stage 1 tune. I charge ~$550 and do many automotive places. Can delete the egr at the same time.
