Seconding the Cordoba

This looks alright but I think "best looking in Auckland" may be taking things a bit far. Really not keen on the silverised grill!

How about the dozen or so listed on trademe?

This might be better off in for sale section, but since interest in acquiring a 318is was expressed this might be of interest Not sure about that interior myself. Looks clean though.

Cheers I had one guy tell 10G's - my guess was that he was going to disassemble the car completely for that price.

The car is pretty patchy in a couple of places. I've had quotes for the bits that need doing of $1500-$2000. I am wondering if it might be worth doing the whole thing while I am at it to get rid of all the niggles. Anyone got an idea of the cost?

Does anyone have any thoughts on particularly good tyres (preferably from experience)? My car is currently on some type of directional Federals, but it is now time for a change (and upgrade). Some thoughts include Bridgestone Grid III Continental V Rated Premium contact Dunlop Direzza Goodyear NCT5 B F Goodrich G Force Michelin V Rated MXV8 Pirelli P6000 Yokohama A539 which covers quite a price range. Size required is 205/55 15 inch Nic

Right hand drive production started in Nov 1995 BMW M Registry Is this in reference to the one on trademe at a price that seems to good to be true? EDIT My bad, just seen the other post about the trademe car

More likely dob them in and claim the car as war booty!

An E30 M3 Sport Evo. It was parked on Symond St about 7:45 this morning. I went inside to get a camera, but it left before I got photos. Mint condition, on dealer plates. Looked like it may have been a Jap import. Strange though, as it would be unregisterable. The paintwork probably looked better before I drooled over it

Not to sure about the magazine. I picked up a copy while i was looking for an e30, but that was airfreighted. Theres actually not to much in it - a timeline of e30 history, an article on converting to a 2.7l, and a few featured e30's.
-
According to Total BMW October, not actually a factory car. It's called a Luchjenbroers Touring, and was made by a dutch coach building company before the official e30 touring was released. There is a couple of articles about them here.

I was just looking through the new Classic car magazine. Someone has a 1989 325 motorsport (white) advertised at $19,200. Makes me feel quite good about the price I paid

203000 km, 1990 model. I saw the post about the mtech II rust problem - I've seen similar pictures on a uk board. Things that need sorting are a couple of transmission seals, replace a rubber diff mount, adjust the valve train - basically maintenance issues - not surprising on a 200k car. Oh, and the front needs a cosmetic repaint - lots of stone chips, and the bonnets had to long in the sun. Damn that ozone hole On the paint topic, has anyone got a recomended panel beater in the Auckland region?
-
Yep, it was off trademe. Paid 8500 on the basis it needs a couple of things replaced. Turned out the previous owner worked for Jerry Clayton, so it has had pretty regular attention at least for the last year or two.

Heh thanks for the positive comments. First question I guess, have BM Workshop got a pretty good rep? I'm thinking I'll take the car up there pretty soon to get a few things sorted (they did the pre-purchase check and seemed good, but it's always worth getting others opinions). Nic

There are a few minor things that need sorting, but the car drives really well.
