Looks nice...other than the M badges which look silly I like the clear indicators but agree they would look better with a slightly darker tint on them, just enough so they matched the fog lights would be my suggestion
-
I paid $90 for a genuine momo one brand new so I wouldnt be paying that
-
Im still around. Just put new tyres on it so looks like Im keeping it for awhile
-
Maybe a stupid question but you have checked the overload button on the dash is sorted right?
-
After having a fibreglass bumper on my CRX im going to be tryng my best to never have one again, mine wasnt that low and I seldom ever touched it on anything yet it still needed repaired twice in the year between when I put it on and sold the car (though one of those was the WOF places fault when they drove it into a kerb) If youve got a plastic bumper now try to keep it that way
-
My first mods would be change the wheels and get some of those fancy non-clear taillights
-
Not sure on either question really. Have you checked BMW? Id imagine theyd sell those panels, though it may not be the cheapest way? Had never heard of those wheels so I found a picture Sorry I couldnt be more helpful
-
Starting to get cheaper, been for sale for along time. I quite like parts of it but the C pillar ruins it for me, makes it obviously look like a kit. Plus im skeptical whether the rear wheel arches would hold a deep dish wheel like an M3 does. Saying that ive emailed the guy twice in the past when I saw that ad and hes never replied

I have two socket sets, a 3/8" Powerbuilt which is rubbish and a 1/4" Bahco which I fully rate. The quality of the Bahco stuff is so much higher than the Powerbuilt one. Not sure if this applies to their other stuff though
-
Yeah Ive seen that before, is really nice

Im confused how the pictures match up to the descriptions. The black ones look better and 17" is too big for an E30

I regularly travel to nelson which is 420ks. My M325i usually get there on just over 30 litres. Thats driving driving pretty normally, not thrashing it but still I often dont have anyone pass me. I reckon if I was really stupidely careful like folding mirrors in, drafting trucks, never using more than 1/4 throttle etc Id damn near get there and back on a single 55litre tank. Its far cheaper to run on the open road than my old 1.6 CRX was. Situation is reversed around town though. But I only do about 10% of my driving around town so that dont really bother me. I guess the fuel economy is just cause theyre so tall geared...the extra 800 revs the CRX was pulling at 100k have to make a difference, let alone if your going faster and the difference increases even more so

Basically other than routine maintenance nothing has happened with my car and I doubt it will while I own it but heres some new photos today from on top of lewis pass Its actually far dirtier than the photos suggest having just driven 1000ks in snow and rain Oh and since I had a photo of the early days of my datsun on the previous page that now looks like this Really need to get around to lowering it
-
Very nice. I still love the Schnitzer wheels. Have you thought about shadowlining it? Think it would improve it slightly
-
Well done looks good. I polished the rims on my datsun by hand and I havnt waxed them or anything, admitedly its not a daily driver or anything but once you get a decent finish on them its pretty easy and quick to keep it that way, just wipe them down when you wash the car and quickly use some metal polish on them when theyre looking dull

Also dont ever deliberately run a car with the oil that low its off the dipstick. Try to never let it go below minimum. Oil is there for a purpose and if its below minimum it cant do its job properly no matter what brand it is
-
Yes but not this year. its got to be 20 years old when its imported (not when its registered) so youll have to wait till sometime next year at the earliest
-
Why do games like this never come to console :rambo: I hate playing games on computers, havnt done it since C64s were new
-
Why would you want to get rid of the expansion tank...youll need it if you want to go drag racing at ruapuna
-
Looks good. Ive always liked that shape 7 Series. One thing id change though is try and find some centre caps
-
I saw the Z8 BMW had on display around its yards a few years ago and I really liked that, easily my favourite BMW convertable. Pity they never made them RHD, its a long wait till theyre 20 years old or a very expensive conversion To me theres half a dozen bmw hardtops id place ahead of them though. Its more where I see BMWs place in the market. If I wanted a convertable (and could afford it ) Id buy an elise or an S2000 before any convertable BMW except the Z8 which is irrespective of budget unobtainable (unless your budget includes frequent overseas trips )

Ive never understood this fog lamp law. Ive now had fog lights in two cars Ive owned. My crx which had 21W indicator bulbs in the fog lamps which even if you stuck your head right in front of them arnt gonna dazzle you. Its about as effective an argument as their indicator dazzled me and I couldnt see therefore I drove into them. And My E30 where theyre mounted that low they constantly get hit by stones etc, they would have to be particularly bright or misaligned to dazzle anyone, neither of which they are. When Ive got a black car shouldnt it be a good idea to make my car as visible as I can. Note: I never use the fog lamps during the day and dont use the rear one at all I just feel it shouldnt be against the law to do so if I want to

yep BMW told me the same thing, about 10 or 20 mm (cant remember exactly) in diameter
