What's up with the reg'? He keeps saying, built '90 and first reg '91. Label says it's a '95, ok that could be a mistake but label also says first reg Nov' 95.

Mate, i refer you to my first post re the dirtyness of Technoviolet. I still think it's the wrong colour for a rim center, try and picture it inside a rim, on it's side as it would be on the car, and without direct light on it.

Take no notice of them mate. Paint them whatever colour ya like, they arn't their rims and i can understand you want to make sure 'bout the colour. Do it once and do it right.

Well another E30 turned up today. paint out side only, Brilliant red, and fit Tech 2 kit. Will update as i go.

Yeah mate i would. It shouldn't cost too much, maybe $50-$60 per rim but the end result will far out way the cost. Let us know how you get on.

May be the odd one out here, but i don't think the techoviolet will be bright enough, it's a very dirty colour. As there will not be any direct light on the centres the colour will have a muddy black look to them. Just a thing to note, i wouldn't be putting that acrylic lacquer clear over that colour. If i see it correctly you had the colour made up in PPG Cobra. Cobra is a base coat that has to have a 2 pack clear over the top, not an acrylic lacquer. You WILL have de-lamination problems with it, ie: the clear will just peel off in a matter of months if not sooner with the harsh treatment rims get with the weather, grit and road grime.
