Yeah paint is good, but.........i am a car painter so pick the sh*t outa all paint jobs Yep, Stefan, bit of a cock if you ask me lol.
-
Doesn't look too bad, couple touch ups over its life tho' me thinks.

So i picked up Matts new car. The guy i picked it up from is the service manager of Tower Ford in Hawera and it was on the yard for sale, so i'm thinkin' he was a bit shitty he didn't get what he wanted so thought he would make some excuse 'bout too much hassle to ship and so he put it on yard to sell. He told me he had 2 offers of 5k but thought he should do the right thing lol. I think he was hoping Matt wouldn't put up the fight he did lol. Couple of things i noticed on way home. Had to put petrol in it for a start.......rude f**ker. Idle a little high for a manual, 1000-1100rpm. Indicators don't return. Wipers on intermitent don't work. Pulls to the left a little. Front end vibration at 110 Vibration under power, maybe centre bearing, in 4th & 5th 'round 100 up to 120 (probably at higher speeds also but didn't go there) Don't worry Matt, i did those speeds on my road, and believe me there's no chance of getting a ticket on this road lol. And yep i picked up the spare parts Matt. Couple pic's i just snapped when i got home.
-
Yeah right, the lllllllloooooonnnnnngggggg way LOL, i'd feel too guilty to do something like that Nick. Although those RS's do look mighty fine, and i just happen to have some 18" RK's that would fit...................I wonder if Matt would notice.
-
12 pk of choc' fish maybe lol......i don't drink No prob' Mark. HAHA like you would get a chance Si' , no it will be all tucked up and waiting for Matt. Just helping out a young fella who looked like he was goin' to get dicked. If it was me the seller did that to........well look up the meaning of my username

Offer to clean it up for him in exchange for storing ya car there. That's what i would try first mate.
-
sh*t, i couldv'e picked it up (20 min away) and stored it 'til shipping was sorted. If any thing like this happens in Taranaki let me know guys, i can pick up anything.
-
No prob' Jamie, glad your happy with it mate. Let me know what happens with the locks.
-
I'll paint anything if it stays still long enough lol.
-
Well thats another paint job on another E30 done. While Luke (boost junky) was out here i grabbed a pic' of his and Jamies cars together.
-
Luke (boost junkie) and Jaime just left with the car. Back seats out, pull off insulation, smack the centre spot welded panel out with a hammer, push the boot liner panel outa the way and then rumage 'round for all the bits lol keeping in mind this was done with the back doors closed. Got them all, Jamies car all back together and gone. There's some dodgy sh*t wiring wise in that car. We found a fully wired up diesel glow plug timer under the bonnet, don't know wtf that's about lol.

Thanks guys, appreciate the offers. -
Yeah but, who in this country with a valid NZ drivers license doesn't know the drink driving laws? There are no mistakes mate, people make a concious(sp?) decision to drink then pick up their car keys. No i have never been hit, and i've not lost a friend or family member to a drink driver. I just have a very very low tolerence of idiots, and people that drink then get behiind the wheel are up in my top 5.
-
It's all painted, so will spend the day trying to get the doors and boot open today. May try the battery, sounds feasible lol.
-
I in NO way condone drink drivers......in fact i have in the past been spoken to by police for beating the sh*t out of a guy who was legless after he drove up the footpath and into the door of a certain club in Napier when i worked on the door. Bit off track there LOL. Yep, that cop of all people should know better. But is what he got ie: "In spite of the discharge Mr Lamont was disqualified from driving for six months and ordered to pay court costs." no more or less what any one of the 1000's of f**kwits get when they get done for drink driving? If it were up to me (i so want to be a judge or law maker) i would jail ANY and ALL drink drivers, yes it would mean more prisons but i don't care. Stewart island serves no real purpose so we could just use that. /rant.

Thanks Kerry, but as i live rural i'm afraid they wouldn't arrive 'til tuesday. The prob' is even if i get things sent to me by courier they give it to the rural delivery posty, and she's f*^kin' hopeless. I appreciate the offer tho' mate. -
Hey all, I need to borrow a drivers side wiper for an E30 ASAP. I'm paintin' Jamies car and the wipers are in the boot, read this and you'll understand http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....15&start=15 I need to take his car back to him on the weekend and the 'naki being what it is it will be raining hence the need for a wiper.

I've been f*^kin' with the locks for the last hour with no luck. Here's what it's doin' now. Key in drivers door, turn 90 degrees to the left, the pass' front door and petrol flap lock, take key out. Key back in turn to left again and pass' door and flap unlock. Can lock/unlock pass' front door with key. Can't unlock boot no matter what you do. Alarm does nothin' with the locks, just arm/dis-arm alarm. Pulled speaker down in drivers kick panel to have a look at the central lock unit and holy f*^k what a mess, someone has tapped into with the alarm but god knows what they've done. I really hope it wasn't any of you guys on here that had it before Jamie cos whoever did that alarm needs shooting with a ball of their own sh*t. Now another thing is, when i take things off a car to paint eg: wipers, reg plates etc, i put them in the boot. So now i can't get that stuff out which sucks.

LOL I've always had a soft spot for Lada wagons and Volvos, not wagon tho'. Would have to be a 850 T5R. The wagon you linked to is a VERY expensive way to get an is front lip

/ thread lol.
-
Boot is definately locked. I knew i didn't like E30's for a reason lol.
-
Got drivers door open (vice grips on key) can't get back doors or boot open tho'.
-
Sure f*^kin' is mate.

Calling all E30 owners. I've got an E30 318 auto here that i'm painting and i can't unlock it', dead locked. Locked it up last night, but as i was walking away the locks seemed to be goin' spastic, went out this morn' and i can't unlock the drivers door. I did manage to unlock passengers door, wound down drivers window, car starts ok and all windows work but can't unlock the other 3 doors. Any ideas guys?
