  1. Hi guys.

Will have for sale once i get photos but what would a good price for a full set of 17x8 schnitzer type 2 single piece wheels be?

they are e39 offset and centerbore.

No tyres. no curbing or damage.

any idea of price would be appreciated. also open to interested parties making an offer

  2. If its actually detonating i would be checking ignition first. Check timing. Then check colour of spark plugs tips immediatly after a hard run of a min or two. White means too lean. Damaged or worn plugs are often a sign of detonation having occured.

I dint think the head could be planed enough to bump the compression up to that kind of level.

Hard to do under no load but if access is available hold revs at 3k and see if any exhaust pipe heats up from cold more or less than others over 30 seconds. Need ir thermometer.

From there fuel delivery. Could be faulty injector. Afm or o2 sensors.

If a cylinder is running lean the computer bumps all injectors up until it stops so you can have a lean mix causing the overall engine to run rich.

My m20b25 did that when the c101 plug corroded. Front three injectors ran at half voltage so the duty cycle was doubled by the ecu which left the rear three massivly over fuelling.

  3. Rotors almost never warp. Usually the shudder is caused by pad material being left behind in one spot from hot pads stopping in one spot.

I use cheap rotors from exedy on my track car at $30 a pop. Absolutly no issues and they literally glow.

Just priced some 330ci rotors from them for my old man which were roughly 70 each.

Go oem with pads but paying 10x more for their rotor is stupid.

  4. I joined an alfa forum once. Got two generic answers. Ring the dealer amd buy a factory part. Or get a bank loan then ring the dealer for the factory part. I got banned for showing how i glued a light lens back on.

I find it funny how some of the "key knowledge base guys" as good as they are get pissy when people dont take their advice to the letter. When much of their experiance was gained by going against advice and trying new things to find better solutions.

Im sure many of those guys were taught by guys who scoffed at efi now they are tuning shift points on smg modules.

Mistakes breed ingenuity so dont knock it.

That being said the lowest point i think is members new or old who steal from other members. Hellafunktional and that cut springs douchebag pop to mind.
