You havent clicked the window lock switch on the main panel? Does the other rear window work from its switch

Should be able to roughly figure out the spring rate with a heavy person or object and a tape measure. From.there suitability can be found

I have heard braided lines make the clutch nicer. Most brake and clutch places can make them up. Just show your old one if they dont have the specs. Fairly simple design. Prob $60-$80

6 cyl or 8 cyl?
Sedan or touring?

Pm is a far better idea than digging up old threads.
Much more likely to be seen

If you can pm me the part numbers i can let you know what my trade price would do.

Then what would you use for a brake pedal?
The sunvisor. What else???.

Id just like to commend all you bmw competitors on being some of the best people ive dealt with during racing.
I was on the entry gate at taupo today as a fundraiser for our local volunteer fire brigade. Bit of a thankless job in the wind and rain for 8 hours.
Of all the different race series there.today you guys came in with the best attitudes around. No grief at all with "missing tickets" or trying to bring other people in. And noone in a rush trying to speed us up.
And on the way out only people who consistantly gave us a wave or a toot.
Not to mention. 4 of you gave us free tickets to give to people coming in.
1 of you gave us cookies and another gave us pizza.
And for the guys who left early you missed the part where the wind got so bad the start light gantry got ripped off the wall and collapsed over the track before the last race started.

A clutch can be killed in seconds of spin. Id say he drove like a nana slowly dropping the clutch at 5krpm

I have heard that the braided hoses that have a small piece of plastic hose over the braided stainless where the ends are fitted aren't the best, the best ones are metal right to the braided hose. Having said that i have had a set of these on my 540i wagon for about 2 years now and i haven't died!!
The plastic piece is there to stop the hose wearing against the collar and bursting. Without that plastic they have no chance of passing adr regs and hence are illegal.

Well said.
As much as i would keep the original badge i think a manual 328 badged as an m3 isnt as bad as an auto 318i doing the same.

This ^ plus thats alot of effort to go to when the car will still be ripe for a pink sticker again.

Boot mounted radiator from memory.

If you cant afford more than 300 then maybe building a car that will attract fines isnt great thinking.
When you say you have all parts do you mean everything or most bits. Eg Oil, new clutch, new mount bushes etc. And having the right driveshaft gets lots of people.
-
Talk to panel beater first. Panels are nothing compared to damage to the frame which can happe easily.
Be very through about the bumper mount points and where the radiator support panel joins the side. You should see if the bolt heads have moved

Zebra is like pickapart. So no

Chuck a piece of wood in between the crank and the block. Then position bar so its pushing towards the floor. Has worked for me in the past on various engines

Yea could probably be glued if you had to run it for a short period but as a part that fails catastrophicaly its well worth replacing.

Very nice. Hope you have insurance now?

Can then have the option of better slotted rotors which should handle hard abuse. Even if you are going for bigger aftermarket calipers.
But im.sure some of the open class guys might have some input
-
Not sure about the e30 but many cars run handbrake shoes insode the rotor so need that height.
Also why change it? The rotors for an e30 are cheap as chips. Can find.generic brand ones for close to $50 each if you look in the right places

Also only thing to note. Aussies have some weird names for some suspension pieces so see if you can get a diagram to make sure they are giving the bushes you want.
-
Havent done bmw specific but in general nolathane are really good.
They engineer their bushes quite well so are not always just solid urethane . Often have harder areas or voids to give a performance increase without to much harshness. then again some are just solid.
So if cheaper i wouldnt hesitate to use. superpro from aussie is good to but not alot of coverage for euros yet. They do lifetime warranty on all bushes regardless of type of use.

1l aluminum drink bottles from supercheap. Like 12 dollars. Easy to modify lid
e30 clutch lines
