  1. Hi Guys, I haven't been on here for years and years... anyway I'm selling my E30 Coupe that I've owned since 16. Heaps of photos on Trademe. Ideal for the E30 race series. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-805344147.htm Trademe link 1989 BMW E30 Coupe 316i Auto 2 Door 254,000 km Full service history Registered and warranted Last warranted and serviced end of September. New tyres in March this year – almost full tread on all tyres New windscreen last month (stone chip) I have owned this car for the last 7 years – since I was 16. Has always been looked after really well and serviced every time it’s due, I have the full service history available. Quite difficult these days to find an E30 coupe that hasn’t been modified - this would be an ideal vehicle for the E30 race series, however. It is in excellent all round condition. There are a few cosmetic issues which have been photographed (it is 24 years old!). Drivers seat and rear seat have cloth rips in them. I have the original fabric to fix them just haven’t done it yet. Would pass on to new owner. Cambelt is also due, however this would be up to the new owner. Selling as I am needing a bigger vehicle for tramping, roadtrip etc, that is 4WD capable. Welcome to view – I live in Paremata and work in Upper Hutt currently, on shift work hours so am available in both places during week and weekends. Call if you want to view.
  2. +1The sight of that makes me sick
  3. Nath, Maddie is exceptionally badass. Has a great stance on the road. Though I notice it has no towbar - how are you going to cart your bike(s) around? Edit - not bikes. Saw that you did track in a thread somewhere, just remembered it was running not XC biking!
  4. There will no doubt be provision under the Act for Police to interpret the situation as they see fit. If you are a 50 year old man in a respectable BMW, or a 30 year old woman in a Toyota Corolla, circling around the block to find an address, you wandering kids or similar, you probably aren't going to be busted for "cruising". I think you guys know that this is to stop the hoedies doing the laps and Police will clearly be able to differentiate between the scummy boys, ratty girls, their shitty cars and the general public. /i should be studying..
  5. Original steering wheel from an E30. Perfect condition, no wear on it, includes centre badge. Can't get better condition than this. Fantastic to put in ya E30 if you're selling it and want to nab that Tec1/Tec2 wheel out of it before it sells. Also suit E28 five series Price neg/ bid or ask for buynow on Trademe Em

  15. Cheers for all the suggestions guys. Someone has suggested a few more so between it all the problem probably can be located. If you have any suggestions on how I could check stuff it would be appreciated. I am mechanically unretarded so can check stuff out without f**king it up more...
  16. Hi Guys Started up James to go to the gym early this morning. He turned over, ignited, then went dead. Did this about ten times. My neighbour came and helped, he said it could possibly be fuel flooding (which I thought) and then maybe the Idle Control Valve. He said when I turn the ignitionon, I should simultaneously press foot on accelerator. Revved it for about 45 secs and all was fine. After Uni it did this again, so followed the same procedure. I am so paranoid it is going to conk out in the middle of town. And a bit upset this is the first time he has created problems in 3 years. Help pleease? Em
  17. Gidday Mate, I work for a MB dealer so have driven quite a few E and S classes over the past few years.. What I can say about the post 2003 E class (W211) is they are absolutely beautiful to drive. Very comfortable ride, it feels like you are floating. The equivalent 5 series is a bit more solid, grounded. And I think this is the key difference between the two series - the E class is dressed to impress and floats along as so, whereas the 5 series is an executive performer. The W211 is my fave MB of all time, (my workmate and I even nickname the E500's!) what engine are you looking to go for? Personal I'd reccommend an E350, E500. The E280's are ok but to be honest if you are going to spend decent money on a MB, why not go all out? The E class is as reliable as any other Euro. It's how you treat it as well. The S class has always been reputed to be the classier of the S and 7. Personally I'm not much into that class of car. The S class has a lot packed into it, so I'll leave it up to your imagination regarding reliability...It is a buyers market at the moment for the S, they seem to be lurking around yards for a while..
  18. Those boyracer types really don't help themselves, do they!

    BMW E30 Touring

What an absolutely beautiful touring. Never seen one so well looked after, and the photo's do it justice!!! All the best for the sale. Definitely worth the 12.5 you're asking... damn you student debt!
  20. Cheers for all your replies guys. Went an visited another panel beater, he said $300 max, for dent repair and blending. Thats probably the best we're going to get down here...the only issue is getting the bloody guy to pay... ah the joys of BMW's. Em
  21. Hey SS, Funnily enough I hooked up one of these to my car at a wreckers yesterday, she's all go, except, it doesn't fit into the slot. Slightly too big in the front half. Thanks so much for looking for me. Em.
  22. Hi Guys, I have one hell of a beach of a dent in my passengers door. However, it is not one of those easy ones to fix. It is a vertical impact one located right beside the lock and handle, which involves taking the whole door apart. It is also involves repainting half the blerry car, because they need to smooth the paint into the fender and the rear panel. This is through a mate and will cost $500 to fix, so is cheap. Just wondering if there are any other options? My mate did it but is (naturally) gutted about the cost as neither of us were expecting it... so will take ages to pay... providing they actually do. As a mate I don't want to small claims it cos thats just plain rude on my part but if it comes to that....Don't want to ruin my no-claims bonus either. What are the positives and negatives of getting an entirely new door? Are the seals the same and also is it possible to change the lock barrell? Basically just wondering if there is any better way!!!? Im so guts that James is un-mint...it hurts to see Cheers Em
  23. Wicked thanks very much would be very much appreciated! Cheers, Em.
  24. Hi All, I am after a Blaupunkt Melbourne SQR26 Casette Player/Radio to replace the screwed on in my 89 316i. I beleive these are the stock casette player for the NZ New E30's.. maybe for others too? Am only after this model because I want to keep the car pristine original and already have all the cords and setup for it. PM Me or email direct on emma.johnston@gmail.com Cheers guys, Em.
