I remember my parents used to listen to 80's nonstop when I was a kid, I used to yell at them "This is sh*t! Can we listen to S-Club 7?" Now look I've got a couple of hundred 80' songs. But yeah basically for me I put it into two groups: classic/big hair/80's metal/rock ----- Bon Jovi/Skid Row/Whitesnake/Alice Cooper synth/city slicker 80's ----- Spandau Ballet/Culture Club/Foreigner Anyone going to Bon Jovi tonight or Rock to Wellington? Not a bad collection for a kid born in the 90's.....

Just took these today outside my (I hope) future Otago University hall - Knox College Then I am going to take a couple down at school when it gets darker and the building look beautiful(er) Dunedin archtiecture is grand isn't it?

I think they've been smoking a bit too much green.

Confusing probably because if you're going to Uni, effectiviely you have to decide your life in 6th form.... subjects that lead onto Uni courses etc. But guys don't put school down its a great place you do learn heaps and if you're working part time, socialising and getting involved with clubs etc you learn other stuff than just numbers and letters. A good Education is ranked #1 on list of importance during teenage years, for me anyway. Westlake B/GHS is public yeah? Damn how do they have Cambridge and we don't? My brother is going to an intergrated school soon, James do you think when the time comes he should do IB or NCEA? He's quite intelligent. To quote an IB student : "My life... well i go to X College... and I do IB. Oh, that means I don't have a life?"

Thats pretty rank. Poor woman. Violence is taking over NZ, and not necessarily gangs either.... EX BF's, murderers, randoms. Christchurch is in the media the most I've noticed.

Excellence = 90-100% Merit = 70-80% Acheived / Pass = 50-60% N = Fail Although I must agree with you the actual NCEA is a pile of sh*t.... you can know nothing and still pass. Like a teacher quoted "The ones who don't work... acheive. The ones who work hard acheive."

Agreed. I wrote a 3 page essay on cellphone for my 5th form English exams, sooo passionate about this lol! I've been guilty of writing "here" when I am about 1 minute away from someones house and firing it away while driving, but never txt properly whilst driving. If its that important, pull over, txt, then when a message is received, read at the next red light, reply, and carry that on.

I'll never forget the day when my team (Otago Girls) the best 1st XI Cricket team in the South Island and 6th in NZ , got beaten by 11 year olds playing in a shitty club. You could say, I went home a bit teary.

No, no I'm not comparing male vs female drivers. Thats apples and oranges, 1st Division vs 12th Division. You might have to be female to notice it. But men seem to have a bit more of a handle and skill of driving (they do) so they are alot more knowing and drive with slight vengeance/confidence. Whereas girls, are a bit fairy with that sort of thing and arent so sure so drive the car/kick the ball with a an unsure attitude. Its so hard to explain, when you're down Cain I'll try again. If you have a teenage daughter that plays Soccer, go and watch her play, then compare it to the same age and division of boys, they play differently. I've watched both and played as a girl, and noticed this. Like, you'd think there would be one way of driving and males and females do the same. But watch an equivalent guy to VBH drive and you'll see even though the outcome is the same, the input is different. Kinda get it? What about Emma Gilmour? She's pretty damn cool and going to the World Champs.
