hi
i have 2007 e90 japan idrive CCC with the full size 8.8" screen.
1 dvd drive + 1 mini disc
in idrive menu I see OBC button instead of navigation. what do I need to activate navigation button?
I tried a BMW nav dvd in the dvd drive but nothing happened.

anybody know where I could borrow a size 30mm or so wheel bearing socket right about now on the north shore auckland?
-

but never heard of or seen the new thin ones being copied yet
Yeah thatl be alright

-

Thanks

Another recommendation for Woolf - they put a quad system on my 335i when it was only 4 days old!!
Been to woolf before. Good bunch. They installed my midpipe for me. bolt on bolt off.
what quad system did they put on?
so you guys reckon their custom work is good?
I live on the north shore so its either Als Mufflers or Woolf

Auckland, thanks

55k... lol
1M it is.
In white.

Hey there
Just looking for an indication from those in the know,
what would it cost just roughly,
to get a custom axle back quad exhaust (1 muffler, 4 tips) made up for a 135i coupe?
just want an idea to compare with the cost importing
cheers
-
really nice man
i had to read your post 3 times cause I kept thinking I missed something looking at the photo / the words 1993 haha
you upgrading the engine at all?
-
Yea I did read somewhere that Hella make them, though I also saw somewhere else a Philips produced model
Have contacted Hella & BMW NZ for more info
-
I'm looking to buy these recently release DayTime Running lights for the 135i coupe
I've got a part number: 63302184000
& OEM site parts link: http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=...;fg=95&hl=1
If someone can give me a headsup what NZ Dealers are charging for this part that'd be great.
Rather buy local than Ebay lol
-
oh don't get me wrong it's a great car.
Just feel like spending some $$ modding it a bit so yea looking to upgrade handling/performance
-
oh right yea just want to improve handling/performance in general
I don't want the ride any stiffer so I'm not keen on springs/coilovers?
do those aftermarket steel braided brake lines make any difference in braking?
-
What do you guys recommend in the way of suspension/chassis upgrades for a Stock 2009 135i
Want to keep it all under a grand
Sway bars seem to be typical starts?
Vendors???
-
aloha
yeah alls well forgot to update this thread
Not 100% sure if putting the wrong letter would mess things up,
I read on one forum one guy said you just write the ECU values over again,
But anyway yea just backup the original file everytime & be very slow / precise with the changes you make & you'll be fine
It's very powerful if you change the right things

ohh okay sweet so you need a helmet too for this track
so the afternoon track open session do you need overalls + helmet,
any chance of borrowing helmet from someone + wearing normal clothes lol?
roughly what time is the afternoon session? 12? 1?
with the skidpan do you wear anything / not need helmet?
btw is there any tutoring lol, don't know how to handle the car during a drift/traction loss lol
sounds cool will try drop by
-
how long is it expected to go for?
was hoping it'd be later than 9am lol
Start the year with some fun on the international track and skid pan.
The format is saloons and sports cars only. Two groups - morning session for beginners and advanced, while afternoon is open pit lane with maximum of 46 cars on the track at any one time. Skid pan will also be available all day. Play on the skid pan while waiting between test sessions!
can someone clarify
is the afternoon session for experts only?
whats skid pan?

okey dokey then coldstart still sending bulb errors so I'm guessing the 1 sensor we disabled wasn't it
no biggy
The german guy who does this as a service helped me out with the correct sensors to disable for headlights
WARMUEBERWACHUNG_AL - warmtest low beam
WARMUEBERWACHUNG_BLK_V - warmtest flash/turn signal front
WARMUEBERWACHUNG_SL_V - warmtest park light
WARMCHECK_E89_FL__E7X_NSW
KALTUEBERWACHUNG_AL - coldtest low beam
KALTUEBERWACHUNG_BLK_V - coldtest flash/turn signal front
KALTUEBERWACHUNG_SL_V - coldtest park light
KALTCHECK_E89_FL__E7X_NSW
CC_MELDUNG_AL - notification lowbeam
CC_MELDUNG_BLK_V - notification flash/turn signal front
CC_MELDUNG_FL - notification park light
CC_MELDUNG_SL_V - notification park light
GUIDE
AL = Abblendlicht = low beam (front)
FL = Fernlicht = high beam (front)
SL_V = Standlicht vorn = parking light front
BLK_V = Blinker vorn = turn indicators front
keep ya'll posted

big ups to M3_Power
was over at his place for a few hours today
very iffy software this NCS Expert
apparently only 1 bmw technician in NZ knows how to use it lol
ah well anyway long story short we fiddled around a bit and finally managed to read the ECU values from the car for the specific modules and disable one of the Bulb tests (hopefully the right one lol) and also managed to enable the digital speedo you can see in the previous page of this thread
sooo yea alls well that ends well!
will post back tomorrow when i do a cold start!
thanks again to M3_Power, Hybrid and everyone else who helped along the way
-
heres the response i got from the car-coding.de guy
For your car you need at least a D-CAN OBD interface (for cars from 03/2007).
Concerning Software:
We will not distribute our own software because it was a huge effort to develop it and it is actually the basis of our buisness.
On some websites one can find software called NSC Expert and EDIABAS.
In conjunction with current coding data these tools are capable of doing the desired coding
so yea as per M3_Power, d-can
m3 is your obdII cable D-CAN???
-
Awesome well the car is a 2009 e82 135i coupe
M3 Power has an OBDII cable, would we be able to arrange something between the 3 of us?
I'd be happy to chip in with beers/bling whichever takes your fancy
-
bump
still looking for someone who can do this
Currently in talks with Tom(M3_Power), though he's never done it before so trying to contact the german overseas who does this to try and get info on how to do it to pass onto Tom
Does *anyone* else have any info or know anyone in auckland who might be able to do this
It most certainly is possible as seen below

Hey buddy
not 100% sure but I don't think so.
I think there is a difference between ELM and DCAN so the softwares etc asking for DCAN won't work
