  1. Pluss my one is only a 3 liter
  2. Well if the price is right??? hahaha
  3. My best guess its an E39 M5 or an E36 M3 evolution
  4. Lets not get into an argument... let's just say you pay for what you get. Power, speed, comfort and so on and so on and so on. Surely you pay quite a bit for the badge too... But it is way worth it!
  5. But looking 5 years into the future. I might be willing to buy diesel as an every day car just looking at how prices of petrol behave, but will never give up petrol as a weekend car.
  6. Personally I don't trash my car and I have petrol. I might drive it harsh once a week and only for its own sake.
  7. This is awesome!!! Nobody is for petrol cars so far It's a shame... Well don't kill me guys... But unfortunately I think petrol era is not finished yet. I love petrol cars... all of them 4 cylinders, 6 cylinders, v8, v10, v12, w12, v16 and yeah one of the favourites line 6 cylinder engines. All of them have their own style, their character, sound, feel... would you get the same feel with a diesel engine... I might be wrong, but I do think so... It is all kinda of the same. Yeah, you can get more power wilth a volume increase or a turbo charger you might change a sound with a super filtered back to engine type exhaust system that does knows what to you engine. But what an enjoinment to sit in the car and listen to the noise of you engine on the low 4 cylinder rumble or line 6 revving up so high like singing... and then putting your foot of that gas paddle hearing how its steadily going down... Or a v10 giving you the feel of a F1 car in new m5. I can't speak for a v12 and 16 because I have ever had a chance to be in one. I don't know about you guys... But as far as I am young and stupid I love petrol cars. They give you individuality. Looking at all of the specs you are right Diesel wins. And you can proudly, say Diesel power! But ask you self a question would you rather have a new 330cxi coupe or a 330d???
  8. Are these wheels from bmw originaly? From 7 series? What is the size of them, offset and so on? Thanks.
  9. thank you. will take this into account
  10. Might be... however less likely because it is locked on the bolt so it is hradly do any movements around the bolt... but I will check to make sure...
  11. Hello guys, I have owned the car for seven months from now and I have come up to some very strange things that my car is doing. The first one is that it has this vibration through the whole body which happens from time to time when the revs are around 2000 rmp... this happens independently whether the car is going down the road or just standing still the vibration is still happening. Now the second problem is my fan makes the woooooo noises and that is changing it you go faster or slower... I guess since its on the belt it should make those noises? What do you think am i correct. Third problem when I am driving I have this deep kinda rolling bouncing sound... can be heard when seat in front can't be when seat at the back... happens only if you go on the uneven surface of the road. And the last one I have a whistle sound from my main belt I have bought the original belt from BMW when I bought the car because the sound was there when I bought it. Can it be the tensioner? Because, if you spray water on the belt the noise would go away and I can hear the silent work of the engine... just perfect. And the last one I have a pretty big idle on the cold when it warms up the idle goes away. Before you'll think anything I have changed the air filter and the plugs on the bosh ones. The gaps where perfect and tension was as well so none of these two thing would be a problem. Please if you know anything about these problems or had come up in front them before let me know. I will appreciate all help I can get. Cheers.
  12. http://www.youtube.com/user/arnoLSD#p/a/u/0/kG3iqbovDBA I think people here might like it... The countryof origin Latvia, town Riga. It is on the coast of Baltic Sea, close to Russia and Finland... Most of bmws we get there, are from Germany. Quality and performance they gave out are considerably higher then Japanese specs... I guess germans the same as japanese do, leave their best cars for them selves... Anyway enjoy it!!!
  13. I would like this discussion to go further... so far all I have found out about generic chips it that the gains are there however nobody know what they are exactly, most of the claims on the internet is just of the feel from the car before and after the installation... which tend to have the common placebo effect. nobody out of the people spending 30 usd on the chip ran two set of duno for approximately the same price for each run... then there are some drawbacks... some generic chips do the stupidest thing ever... exactly what it is? Apparently, it tells your computer that your car is always cold, as far as I know that is not good at all (decrease you engine life time, might get some vibration from the engine and so on). Then there are the guys paying 700 usd for a set of dyno runs and computer tunings... getting a reasonable improvement of 20-25 hp on the stock and up to 60hp with a reasonable modifications (intake, filters, exhaust, injectors, sparkplugs) that is all for M3 as far as I have read and tend to be close to reality... I have seen allot of very clever people here on Bimmesport and I would love them to kick in since that is a hot topic for most of us willing for a bit more seat pressure when you put your foot down on track, or response on the hills or just a bit more economical run around car or every day cruiser. I love my car with all the bits of my body, definitely wouldn't like to blow my engine up... since its a euro version especially. At the moment I am in the stage of fixing all the suspension components. Engine is next on the list I would love to hear everything that people think about the generic chips because that might be a very good solution for most of us. So guys please join the topic discussion. Thanks
  14. Hi guys. I've been looking through a few US website parts catalogs and found so much awesome stuff there... So now I am pretty interested what are the laws in New Zealand related to bringing all this stuff here? Does anybody know how expensive is the freight cost? Do the customs check it here and do you need to pay anything to them when the parts arrive? Any information related would be very much appreciated.
  15. PMed... please confirm. 2 sets for E36 one purple one blue cheers.
  16. Hey guys... I was browsing through the trademe and found this: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.as...amp;permanent=0. Apparently its a performance chip for bmw tuned in Germany. If anybody have any information related to it, please post it here. I am seriously thinking of getting one of these for my car. Cheers.
  17. Well that's not good I have a person in Germany at the moment... if I am not getting one here for a resonable price, probably that person will be my next choice.
  18. Hey guys. Looking for a genuine BMW strut brace for my BMW (apparently they exist ). Also keen for Hamman or Schnitzer one . If somebody is keen to sell one or know anyone who might be keen, please pm me any time. Thank you guys.
  19. So why wouldn't the e31 fit the E36 is the bolt pattern different? and what is the offset on them... I have 18" 8 front 8'5 at the back... not sure about the offset but the rear ones still have some space till the guard...
  20. Maybe you could ask him if he would like to swap? Its not like I have something wrong to do with BBS its just I really like how the genuine bmw wheels look on them...
  21. Yes they are all genuine bmw ones I think... the size of the 850csi ones are bigger so I actually do prefer those as well, but I need to find a person who would actually want to sell them or swap them with my ones...
  22. So they must be pretty rare then...?
