  1. Personalised plates aren't my thing, but they are pretty cool, as long as they are not tacky. Some are bloody clever, but some are just crap, and makes the drivers look like real wankers. Good luck, let us know what you want to get. Cheers
  2. Hello I got the info pack in the mail today. It is on the 19th of April at Pukekohe. Sounds like a similar format as the Taupo BMWCC day. It costs $299 for the day - Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea provided. Also you get a BMW Top, Cap and Laynard, and a Certificate. It is being run by Robbie Francevic. I am considering going to this, but will make my mind up over the next couple of days. Cheers

    My 323Ti

Very nice car Marcel. How many 323ti's were built? Are they factory standard, or have you (and others) just placed a 323i engine into an ti body? Cheers
  4. Good effort, can you seal the headlight now (silicon??) Cheers
  5. 5 were imported by BMW, but I guess more will be over here pretty soon from overseas, privately imported.Cheers
  6. Very very cool car. Did you ask for a drive? Cheers
  7. It is not so much the condition of the paint, it is just things like stone chips, small dings etc (as can be expected on a 14 year old car).
  8. That is a War of Attrition, not a challenge.I do not wish that on my worst enemy. Cheers
  9. Well, its quite simple reallyNow many, many years ago, when I was twenty-three, I was married to a widow who was pretty as could be. This widow had a grown-up daughter who had hair of red. My father fell in love with her, and soon they, too, were wed. This made my dad my son-in-law and changed my very life, My daughter was my mother, cause she was my father's wife. To complicate the matter, even though it brought me joy, I soon became the father of a bouncing baby boy. My little baby then became a brother-in-law to Dad, And so became my uncle, though it made me very sad. For if he was my uncle, then that also made him brother Of the widow's grown-up daughter, who, of course, was my stepmother. Father's wife then had a son who kept him on the run, And he became my grandchild, for he was my daughter's son. My wife is now my mother's mother, and it makes me blue, Because, although she is my wife, she's my grandmother, too. Now if my wife is my grandmother, then I'm her grandchild, And everytime I think of it, it nearly drives me wild, For now I have become the strangest case you ever saw As husband of my grandmother, I am my own grandpa!

  19. If it is a BMW colour, then it is the same as my old E30 320i. It is a really deep blue, almost purple when in direct sunlight. It was a nice colour, in fact their is a lamp post on Victoria Street, Hamilton that still wears the battle scars of the car being rammed into it at high speed by idiot drivers who don't know what a red light is. I can't remember the actual colour name though. It was a prick of a colour that showed every scratch badly. RIP... Cheers
  20. I don't have a sh*t show. David Brace from the BMWCC wins that title hands down. His is immaculate in every single way. Unless you do a full nut and bolt clean and rebuild you will struggle to beat his one. Good luck, I look forward to your surprise. Cheers
  21. or a 318i, after all you are not after performance at all. Cheers
  22. I have just sent an enquiry to the Auckland Car Club to discuss any potential opportunities for Bimmersport Mambers to take part in events organised by the Auckland Car Club. I will keep you updated on progress. Regards
  23. Hello All Is anyone here a member of the Auckland Car Club. They seem to organise a lot of events such as auto cross, gymkhana's, hill climb's etc, and was wondering if anyone on here had any experience with the club, and whether or not it is worth joining. I am considering joining. It looks to be a very big and thorough organisation. Here is their URL: http://www.aucklandcarclub.org.nz/
  24. Thankfully, the camera is very flattering to my car. The paint and bodywork is now starting to show its age. However on the whole, I still think it is in pretty good condition for its age and its 170,000km's. Speedy E30, on the outside it completely original with no cosmetic mods at all, however my car started life as an auto 320i, but an owner before me but a hybid 325e/325i engine into it (I'm not sure exactly what they did - it is all a bit of a mystery), however it has a cam in it that is not the best match (its HP peaks at 4,800 rpm's even though the engine is quite happy to rev higher all the way to its normal rev limit). It means that it has about the same HP as a standard 325i, however it has 243nM of torque (higher than standard). The torque runs in basically a straight line right from 1950 rpm's right the way up the rev range. At some stage I will get a cam that better suits the car, and this should lift its HP considerably and allow HP to keep building all the way to the rev limit.. About 2 years ago, I had it converted to 5spd from auto. Inside it is original as well, except for the Momo steering wheel, and the leather E36 gear knob, and the stereo. Cheers
