I have a Momo Corse. It is perfect. There is no more to say about it than that. It does however slightly obscure your view on the top lhs of the speedo, but not too bad. I hated the original BMW Wagon Wheel. Cheers

whack it with hammer... there, that is my advice for audio (as you can tell I know nothing). I have a simple CD player that works, noise comes out - buggered if I know how..but it does. Bypass the amp, run your speakers directly off your tuner, see how that goes. It must be a Friday afternoon... Cheers

It isn't dirty injectors for me, my injectors were replaced less than a year ago. Cheers

Your airbox is metal...cool. Mine is plastic Cheers

Are you sure?I thought that it was only the M42 engined 318i's that have a cam chain. As far as I know, the M10 engines still have a cam belt. Oh yeah...I am talking about the E30 here. Cheers

yeah, the Targa Bambina is in and around Taumaranui, if I am not mistaken.Quite a drive. I hope that those of you who make the trip have a great time. Cheers

Yeah, bizarre, especially as it was all wrapped up nicely and in the box still (that your new one came in), just when we were making good progress.Nevermind, we'll get there in the end. Cheers

Awesome I love the Porsche GT3 Carrera. They would be bloody good fun to drive on a track like Nurburgring. I must say I am very jealous of your close proximity to the 'ring. Cheers

The part that the outer tie rod (tie rod end) screws into was not round, it was an oval and therefore my existing outer tie rod (tie rod end) wouldn't screw into itGus is (or already has) going to talk to you about it. My original inner tie rod was fairly worn (I can see why they thought it had too much play in it) and is lying on my garage floor. Cheers

I read it last Friday, just before going into a meeting, I had tears running down my cheeks it was so funny (it didn't help that I had just come back from the pub for lunch either). Cheers

Nah, no idea what the cracks cost to fix. The guy came around this morning, and repaired the chip/crack (the windscreen did not need replacing). He did a good job too, as you can hardly even see where it was. It was covered by insurance so that was good. Also my other issues are nearly sorted...the handbrake has been adjusted ( a piece of cake - more time consuming than anything making sure that both sides are even). And the old tie rod is out of my car, and the new one should arrive soon, and then it is just a case of screwing it in (a big thanks to Gus for his assistance with this). BTW the old one was very work, and the ball joint had plenty of play in it...(but in no way unsafe). Oh yeah...my oil leak is also solved (but this is in another post). Cheers

Yup, I do. I always give the go pedal a little press as I am starting the car.I am a creature of habit, and know that this in not needed. I will make a conscious effort not to do this, and see if this does the trick. Cheers
-
YAY...I have had three days with no oil leak...I think I have solved it. Cheers

How much do you want for the towbar? Cheers

Petrol itself isn't flammable, so I think that you would be pretty safe. It is the fumes that are flammable. In an enclosed cell like a fuel tank you are highly unlikely to have a fire. But.....I don't think I would take too many risks. Cheers
-
Yeah, the fuel strategies will be interesting for the start. I don't think that the Ferrari's are really 1/2 a second faster than the Williams, I am hoping that the Ferrari's are starting with a lighter fuel load. P4 - P7 are no real threats to Ralf either, he will soon make his way through the field. The BAR's will have a very light fuel load, as will Mark Webber in the Jaguar (he is good at qualifying, but usually fades quite quickly during the race. Alonso in the Renault will be the intersting, and potential fly in the ointment. Lets also hope it is nice and fine as well, so that the Michelin's can utilise their advantage over the Bridgestone shod Ferrari. Cheers

The 'e' is injected too. My car has a hybrid 325e/325i engine. (I didn't do it, a previous owner did), with a 325i transmission, intake and exhaust. It means about the same BHP as a 325i (in its current config) but a fair bit more torque. I plan on changing the camshaft, which will increase the BHP a fair bit (or so I am told). At the moment my BHP peaks at 4,800 rpms even though it is more than happy to rev to the limit of 6,400. I will probably have to change the chip as well. The torque in mine is 243nm and is pretty flat from 1950rpm's right through to 4,800rpm's. It means I can basically pull away from a standstill quite happily in 3rd gear. Cheers

I am guessing here, but the grey car is Lewis's (SpeedyE30)?? Cheers

Yeah, it would be great to meet some of you guys that we haven't met. Come along...Andrews shout for the beers wel.....I lied about the last bit, but come along anyway Cheers

Yay.....I have found it. The new crush washer had split, and there was a 4mm gap in it. Thanks christ for that. Cheers

It is not dripping fast enough to actually see it, but over night after driving the car, there would be say 5 -10 ml's of oil under the car. I have checked again and I am 99.9% sure it is coming from the sump plug, all of the surrounding area is bone dry. I am going to dump the oil again, clean the area up again, and put in a new sump plug, and hopefully this sorts out the problem. GRRRR This is an annoying problem, but at least it isn't an expensive one Cheers
-
Mr DuckThat would be a very very nice set of wheels. Awesome car mate. Cheers
-
The BMW sump plug will still fit. I only have an aftermarket one because that was all I could get hold of in Cambridge within walking distance from my old house. I will buy one on these for sure next oil change (or until I get sick of the oil leaking currently). Cheers
-
Hello I'm not sure if anyone remembers, but here is my sad story. About a month ago I did an oil change, reused the crush washer on the sump plug, and ended up with a small leak. Well the leak annoyed me, so I redid, my oil change and used a new crush washer. Well, the leak is worse than before now. And it is definately coming from the dump plug (I made sure of this last night by going over everything under the car, and there is no oil coming from anywhere else and then dripping from the sump plug - being the lowest point under the car). My thinking is that the sump plug maybe damaged in some way (it looks ok to me though). It is not the original sump plug (as this cracked), and it is not a BMW one - it is an aftermarket one I bought to replace the cracked one). Could this be the problem? Any other ideas? Cheers
