  2. Thaught about a Hotswap drive rack? instead of taking the entire computer home with you... you could just remove it's drive(s) Data security is a big issue now days. I get to do a paper on it... Joy.

  7. Well, it's more of an Unwritten forum rule. "let old threads rest in peace" It's like letting people get off the bus before entering.

  12. Welcome to the forums! I have a E30 320i, it's not very fuel efficent. I would say go for a 318i Manual... Good luck with finding your new car, and thank you for choosing E30.

  14. Yeah, It says Alpina on the rego, and apparently it's chipped. - he has owned it for years however.
  15. Went and had a look today, Took the old man for me, as he's better at looking for faults than I, Unfortunately I don't have a camera, but there wasn't much to see, The engine was allright, though missfired a little when it's cold but once it had warmed up, went fine. was a bit dirty though. Body is good, only a small dint like, someones knee'd it, on the drivers side guard. small (about 1") surface rust on the sunroof. No Leaks that we could detect. No aircon, only two power windows, and the central locks don't work. It's got brand new front tyres, and the rears aren't that bad, Dad took it for a drive, said it's good, Quite powerfull compared to my 320i.. (cry) Dad reckons if you can get it cheap enough, Do it. Also turns out Dad knows the guy, He's a technolgy teacher from a local highschool heh. Anything else?
  16. I would definately suggest having it Diagnosed, then if nothings wrong, Reset. As it is a major saftey feature of your car, and you can fail a WoF if the light stays on.
  17. Going to have a look at 10am tomorrow.
  18. Welcome! Probably shouldn't say E30's are girls cars, it might offend

Mum rear-ended someone, writing her car off... then bought my Camry, and i traded them my Lancer. then someone T-Bones me in my Camry... thus buying an E30. Insurance FTW.
  22. Wow, Looks like the ol' E30 held up allright...
