That's all a bit extreme, boot button is in a plastic mould. Surey you can just pop that out somehow.

Got some new from pelican (non bmw) for my e28 bonnet, they are almost to good and need some wearing in.

i wouldn't bother with it, e21s show up every now and then and the ones i've seen in the last few months were all better than that.

It would cost $95 to bring 2 in from the states. This can also happen when running them on the E30

I have castrol vmx80 in my getrag 260 and 75-90 in my LSD. Shifts and drives great.

1.5 at the front and 2.5 at the rear I think.

Seems like the one that sat on trademe for a year or so for $25 000 might have been a decent deal. I haven't seen one since and that was about 4 years ago.

A few months since I got this up and running now, I had a few concerns like steam coming from the exhaust, overheating, coolant level dropping every time i drove it which only points to one thing right?

well...

- the steam was actually all the water I got in the exhaust pipes when i water blasted the engine bay.

- it over heated because the system wasn't bled properly and the viscous clutch was only doing half a job, I replaced the clutch bled it about 3 times

- the coolant level was dropping because it was escaping from the expansion tank because the cap wasn't sealing properly.

Since I've fixed these things I haven't had any issues.

Air intake to alternator? Shouldn't be a problem like that.

Need to replace my wheel bearing, need a 46mm socket. Any one in christchurch have one I could borrow? They are stupid expensive.

This is my E34 Hub, is it an asymmetric or symmetric hub? (need to replace the bearing)

Replaced a rear shock on the e34 let's hope I get a wof this time round.
