Own a M3 CSL - best grab those spare parts whilst you can

Does the CF roof wear out ? -
Epic post ! Needs to be a sticky. Not a fan of SMG or DCT. BMW - if you are going to make 2 pedal cars give them full sized brake pedals !
-
What a load of bollocks ! The 130i was a great little car, many rating it the best handling BMW at the time, surpassing even the E46 M3. More recently the 123d has been lauded as a viable alternative to the Golf GTI. The 1-series hatches with their hydraulic power steering are great little cars.

Typical TG wankery. Entertaining (sometimes), uninformative all the time.
-
Yep. Like the current CRZ - a piece of crap btw
-
Those classic M-cars shows just how far off the rails current M-cars are.

Both are rubbish, the German is the lesser of the two evils. If you must buy GY, the Asymmetrical 2 is better than the old GS-D3 in every way.

Agreed. Unless your existing hoses are damaged, there are better things to spend your money on (decent pads, good fluid). Biggest benefit is bragging rights.

Thanks guys.

Did E90's suffer from the swirl flap breakages and turbo problems of the E46 diesels ?

No. A "stealth" detector is one that is shielded from radar detector detectors that some cops in the US use. "Pulse radar", or more correctly instant-on radar, does not send out a stream of pulses but allows the operator to choose when to send out a radar beam. All detectors will pick up the ground pulse (residual radar output while the unit is in standby) if it is strong enough. The latest POP radar units have no standby mode, so no ground pulse but have other problems like instability from cold startup that affects their accuracy. AFAIK POP is not used in NZ.

Anyone have a exotic car for a TV Commercial Shoot

If I had an R8 I wouldn't want any anorexic ho dragging her boney ass across my car. Strictly non-contact. -
Call me an old fart but the lowered E30s are too rice for me. The E30 M3s on the other hand look great.

That was ages ago ! Late '90s, early 00 ? It actually was scheduled on the old BBC World but in a cut-down 30 minute version. And has disappeared from BBC World News, no doubt because the entire show is now sold overseas.

AFAIK Prime and UKTV are both firmly SD. Prime is showing the Middle East Special this Sunday (20th) which originally screened in the UK on Dec 27 2010. Season 16, Ep 1 originally aired on January 24th, 2011. Five weeks behind, not bad but not great either. http://www.finalgear.com/shows/topgear/16/ Final Gear has downloads in 720p and 1080i, both with Dolby Digital stereo sound. Lightyears better than the crap quality on Prime.

What channel is showing TG in HD ?

Is a US spec E30 M3 any less desirable than a European spec car ?

Carjam shows this recent listing was first registered in Nov 2010 as an 88 model Jap import with lower mileage (48ml/77km) than the earlier 87 car which had 96km on it. Both cars look the same with the same wheels but earlier car had the later M-Technic steering wheel. Are they the same car or is there a third white E30 M3 in Palm Nth ?
