HELP Had new battery fitted & need the stereo s code , so pulled stereo & been in touch wiht BMW but the numbers on the label or bar code numbers or even Philips numbers dont match anything they can find . Is there other numbers somewhere that will correspond . I prefer to keep the car origonal ratrher than buy new unit

Wierd I had put new brake pads in & pedal only went down little way & it wouldnt actuate the switch & the germans in their ways dont have an adjustable brake actuaor rod . Brake lights will now only work when engine is running ( vacumm on nthe booster ) & pedal goes down far enough . Got new WOF today & just as well he left the engine running when he checked the lights .

manual coupe Brake lights dont work ,tested the swtch is ok ,book says has a check cotnrol module & brake light circuit fault on display is on . Suspect the module but where is it ?

I have an 328 IS & at 100KPH its pulling 2200 RPM although i have 18 inch wheels . . Also the chassis tag will have an a on the end if it was origonally an auto. Gunuine ZF boxes are rare to find for sale in NZ . I was looking for a 330 CI but after year of looking for a manual , or a ZF box & bell housing clutch etc to convert ive given up .

First thing to do is get a full set of dimensions for the car then get it measured for straightness This from my retired panel beater mate who did quite a few classics . even if its out can easily be straightened on chassis machine If its ok then just buy good panels plenty around . door cards , if cant get black you can get a leather spray called Simply spray , in a can . He reckons its always best to work on the origonal body rather than putting mechanicals /suspension into another that wasnt exactly the same . Good E36 M3 are very desireable I have been looking for a good 1 for while .to replace my 328 IS coupe

Bigger than last E92 series longer& wider in wheel base & overall . but lighter. Must be almost as big as the origonal 5 series . . Id prefer the new 2 series especialy the M235 with the big turbo six , looks more like origonal M concept of small racy coupe , who cares about rear leg room & luggage capacity you dont buy it for that send it on ahead these are toys not family friendy shopping trolleys .

Just reading an article on it but something doesnt stack up .Says it has 125 kw motor 22kwh battery so at full power but you would only get 0 .176 hrs running on full power , half power 0,352 hrs so thats only just over 20 minutes . says top speed of 150 kph so thats 20 minutes at 75 KPH , yet says range on single charge is 160 km . that would mean traveling at walking speed . This doesnt have regenerative braking or a pony motor so what am I missing ?

Hi been looking for a good 330 ci manual but seems rare as hens teth in Nz . Currently have an e36 328 s manual & thinking maybe buy auto 330 & swap boxes over . are the blocks same mountings & pedal box . Is the 330 box electronic controlled could it just be swapped into the 328 . cheers .

Hi been looking for a 330 Ci manual but given up . could i swap the box , pedals hydrualics from a wrecked E36 328 as it seems they are pretty much the same car mechanically .. what would I need to do about the auto wiring ? is driveshaft & cross membersame on auto as manuall ?

Quite like the look . 3 coupes got to fat & heavy almost up to old 5 series . Havent read the specs but hope it still has the smooth straight 6 & a manual option .
