  1. Selling on behalf.

Located in Porirua (30 minutes north of Wellington). Inspection is welcome.

Here we have a 2000 facelift e38 728i, with a 2.8l m52tu. It has a current rego and wof. It is in pretty good condition for it's age and mileage.

There are quite a few marks on the paint, stone chips on the front of the bonnet. Has a couple of scrapes on the bumpers.

    Features:

    • Has 18" style 32 wheels, (I believe the tires are Bridgestone RE002)
    • Has been regularly serviced.
    • Working rear blind
    • Double glazing
    • EDC (adaptive suspension of sorts)
    • Includes a spare speaker and part of the center console.
    • Still has all of the tools.
    • Original 6 CD changer
    • Full size spare
    • Unopened first aid kit

  2. I have decided if I cannot get a great E30, I may settle for a Z4 coupe... that is the one with the hard top. They look quite aggressive but will 1st try and get the perfect E30

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Pretty sure any m coupes will be more expensive than 95% of e30s.

This might sound harsh but have you done any research Or just gone straight to a forum without even a brief glance at trademe (heck, even ebay)?

  3. this post got me looking through ever e38 on trademe.. (searching e38 is no good.. gotta go thru each 728i 730i 740i etc)

theres a HUGE price gap some $1000 some $8000 and the s7 variant for $25000 or something.

all I know is I want one. but I also know it wont fit in my garage, nor should I have such a big car after selling the e class which I thought was big enough..

    sigh still want one...

I've got an facelift 728i that will be for sale once I've gotten over this cold so I can finish washing it...

  4. I would be interested in your m30 box.

ps I also have a m30b28 engine for sale was a really good runner from a 528i e28 if you want to go that way.

I assume I would need a cert for that though? (or is this a case of what they don't know doesn't hurt them...)

I'll be keeping the m30 box until I get a replacement so I at least have some kind of manual transmission.

  5. Hi everyone

The Getrag 260 that came with my car has the wrong bellhousing on it (m30 instead of m20), so I am looking to buy either a:

    • Getrag 260
    • Getrag 265
    • Getrag 240
    • Getrag 245
    • ZF S5-16

All with either an m20 bellhousing or removable bellhousing and either the holes for the sensors or the ability to have the holes added.

Also a matching driveshaft and shift linkage would be good too.

    EDIT: and the cross member

    Thanks

  6. Was the first owner of this car based in Wellington ? ( MT Victoria or Wgtn City Terrace)

If so it was on old boss's car and I drove it a number of times in the 80s :-)

Probably, the guy I bought it off was in Wellington.

Still also looking for a gearbox and shift linkage

  7. I really like Rays project - it is cool because it is different and a classy stretch of the m3 story but I reckon the m3 dynasty would be diminished by a factory wagon variant. The four door sedan is a stretch.......I would have one but the m3 is at its peak as a two door on the track.

What about the m5 though? That makes more sense as a factory touring.
