I have KWV2 in the 335i, and honestly I think their existence is entirely pointless between V1 and V3. I couldn't see the point in adjusting rebound on it's own because pretty much any setting besides the recommended default was bad, so I may as well have had V1s.

It was the last owner that had them installed anyway though. Besides that, they're excellent, that car has awesome handling while still being decently comfy. 

So i notice comments allluding to him having a Youtube channel. With a little digging, i found it...

He only finished the bodykit a few weeks ago, and is now selling it... odd choice. He would have had an easier time selling it beforehand. 

If you'd consider MFactory, I believe Speedfactor in Tauranga distribute them at a decent price (assuming they make a 335d version).

GetBMWParts.com has the genuine spoiler for $475USD. Might be a little tempted to just get that... 

I don't think I can live with this spoiler either. Just can't get it to fit perfectly and this will drive me mad.

Don't buy this knockoff stuff if minor sh*t like this bugs you too ? And if you do just skip the Trademe resellers and buy if from Ebay/Aliexpress yourself...

If I do this again I'm doing it right...

Here's a better close-up. 

Had a close look at it compared to the CF on my roof and interior trim, it has the same 3D depth and the fibers react to light in the same way. Still 99% sure it's real

This is cosmetic stuff, not tyres,and the OEM stuff is waaaay overpriced... but yeah I'm not so sure I'll keep it. Maybe I'll get better quality aftermarket stuff, or go back to stock.

I don't want too much messing around with mods, I'm too OCD with this stuff and get carried away ?

I've asked to cancel those Aliexpress orders for now as well, I change my mind 5 times a day on what I want, think I need to pause and reflect on what I'm doing, and figure out my end goal on this car ?

Plus installing mods when i live in an apartment is frustrating, I need to get back into a house!

Looking back at the pic of the diffuser and zooming in, I can't imagine a situation that cf weave could distort like that, but on the other hand it looks exactly like what happens with dip swirls when you remove the piece from the tub. Are there any signs of actual carbon fibre mat being used? Unless I could verify it as actual cf I'd assume it's dipped, some dips are good enough these days to defeat even a close inspection.

If it's not actual cf that would be an instant refund from Trademe, regardless of what the seller wanted to do.

I contacted the seller direct so I didn't end up buying through TM, but rather via email... 

You can see the weave isn't 2D, and the M4 has a fair bit of real CF to compare against so I do think it's real

It's not distorted, but rather the weaves aren't straight, it's just the effect it gives through the clear-coat that makes it look more like a distortion. 

I just popped the spoiler on. It's better, tiny gap on the left and right end if you look close

Fitment also looks a bit off in person, tbh I do think it looks worse in person than the photos. I emailed the guy I bought it from (a trademe 'store') asking if I could return it.

Buying these knockoffs on Trademe is pointless, they're just buying crap off Aliexpress, you may as well go straight there... I just bought another diffuser off there from a seller called ' JC Sportline". Seen some people buy stuff off them on the other BMW forums, their quality seems decent. We'll see.

Test fitting the spoiler, it does look good on it ? It sits perfectly in place and I haven't even stuck it on yet. 

Do I paint the diffuser black or get rid of it? ?

Edit, not my car but a photo I found online of one in identical spec, maybe I should just do the spoiler on it's own:

It's real CF with clearcoat, looks more or less like the CF in the M4 roof and interior trim up close. But the weave is just... wonky in places. 

Honestly the end result would have probably looked better if it was hydro-dipped or vinyl wrap with clearcoat on top lol. 

Maybe I should paint it gloss black. 

I ordered a CS style lip and side skirts off ali express - I know, big risk. Might just flog them on Trademe when they arrive in like 2 months. Can't make my mind up if I actually want a CF kit, not sure it's worth the trouble ?

Or maybe they'll look good painted/wrapped black to cover up the shitty CF weave. The spoiler looks fine, we'll see how the rest turns out.

All these throttle controllers are doing is changing your throttle mapping, there is no change in the time it takes the throttle position to be communicated to the ECU. Literally the same effect as just pressing the throttle further. 

But if throttle sensitivity is exactly what you want to change, then they're a decent option. Although this can also be done in the cars software with a tune, although you can't mess around with it as easily as the tuner needs to set it. 

Told myself I wasn't going to mod it... a few cosmetic bits doesn't count right?

Hope these fit right. The CF weave isn't perfect on the diffuser when you look close... but it also cost a fraction of the price of the OEM one.

Maybe I'll just pay a body shop to do it, should be a simple job for them.

Good value but as with any high mileage 335i, there's a solid chance of an expensive problem. As long as you're ok with the risk and can afford the occasional big repair bill, it'll be a blast.

The owner has already basically set fire to a big pile of money by modding it and fixing a heap of common issues that he'll never see a return for, so it'll be good value for you and you'll hopefully only have to burn up a small wheelbarrow full of cash to maintain it

Looks so bog standard on the outside, it'll be a good sleeper if that's what you're after. Nobody will be expecting it to light up the tyres and launch like a rocket!

They're excellent tyres. Handled great on my modded 335i, and I've properly thrashed them on backroads and the track. 

I liked them more than the PS4 on that car. PS4 had more ultimate grip but it just seemed to 'snap' when it lost grip in the wet, while the Goodyears always had a nice smooth transition that was easily controllable. Even the traction control would cut out harshly with the PS4, but was able to smoothly modulate power on the Goodyears. 
Might just be that the slightly wider than stock PS4 wasn't a good match for that car as they generally have excellent reviews. Got the stock MPSS on my M4 and not sure how I feel about them so far, they felt a bit 'snappy' in some situations but part of that could be the car and me still getting a feel for it...

9 years is a long time... Maybe you should consider an F80, or an M2...

Prices are coming down, higher km ones (60-80k) can probably be negotiated down to low 60s or high 50s.

Bridgestone RE003s are great tyres, I've seen good reviews of them even in more powerful cars like the 335i. 

Eagle F1 Asymmetric are probably better so if pricing is similar I'd go for them. 

Can't go wrong with the Michelin Pilot sport range either.

If you want to have fun in your M3 don't get the budget Chinese tyres. Those might be ok in a Toyota Passo, but not in a sports car!

I bought PIAA silicone wipers for the 335i off Amazon. They're excellent. They keep your windscreen coated in a silicone film like rain-x. 

Which works great especially if you do use ran-x because it doesn't scrub off the coating with use like regular wipers.

And apparently they last just about forever, but I have not been able to put that to the test.

Statistically, Id be much better off with spare waterpumps (2 of them, statistically), a spare starter motor, and spare brake caliper bolts to prevent strandings rather than a spare tyre.
