  1. Factory Msport with this mileage would be worth it, that’s about what I’ve spent on mine but the ACS kits for 7s just look tacky IMO. Difference in Rarity to desirability. Still I’ll keep the V12 even if it’s more warm then this.

I’d want to see a timing chain guide change for that money as well. With so little running it’ll be brittle as

Something the government is keeping very much on the down low is the introduction of RUC on electric vehicles. Currently there is an “exemption” for these vehicles, but this is only for a period of time (and most unlikely to be extended again) and then the charges will be payable.

This, along with how much you are paying for your electricity, will make a big difference in your calculations.

It will be very interesting how they tackle this, with plug in hybrids able to run EV only, taxing petrol becomes irrelevant for the EV ks. It feels like a reduction of petrol tax and a across the board ruc program would be the only real fair fix. Would take a balsy government to change that in the near future, and they only ever look at the current term

  3. Or a Tesla 😉

Seriously while I love my V8s, EV is the cheapest best daily option today.
Would run 91 if it was advised by a manufacturer. All BMWs are 95 at least that I’m aware of.

Plug in Hybrid is probably the best mix, 330e seems a good option for one size fits all for most people. Ultimately limited options, give it a few more years and those models coming on stream now will filter through.

I personally have a problem with diesel emissions so that’s not for me. But I get why they are a good option for a lot of people today still.

  4. Well the next issue popped up, alternator packed a sad on a weekend drive few weeks back. Luckily only close to our off-ramp and I could get it home and then down to our mechanic.

New alternator, being water cooled PITA so left it up to the mechanic for this one also.

Under $2k all up, pretty happy and we got a good deal on a genuine pump for $1200 in that.

Well that’s all the big ticket items now, hopefully ………

At least it’s back and running sweet now

Have looked into them briefly in the past but would have to do a little more research! They seem great 👍🏽

Oh yeah? Would be keen on some owners perspective & history.

Would you recommend just buying from their site directly? I’m just a little nervous on the self-installation process that’s all as I’m very new to the whole DIY thing. I’m sure a simple video tutorial will help me get through it 🙏🏽

Yeah I bought direct when I got it, no issues at all, a lack of instructions but overall pretty straight forward and there is a few you tube vids you can look at prior for guidance

  6. Craig Shuester’s old X5, he would have looked after it, can put you in contact if you interested in having a chat.

Also, I run an Avin Avant 3 unit in my E38 and for the last couple of years it has been great, would definitely recommend
