I recommend 4 cylinders on one bank and 4 cylinders on the other bank. My type of 4pot

WOF passed on the E38, whoop whoop, well apart from some replaced brake lines, no dramas
On collecting though the battery had finally given up, so replaced that but knew it was coming

Yup.
I'm the same as all the rest. If things go as planned on Monday I'll own yet another E38 so as much as I like this and wish I could give it a home in my garage I'll have to pass but I cant see it sitting around for long.
Dave your an addict, and addiction leads only one thing
More parts scavenged, look, forward to new thread!!!

Same issue, do you know how hard they are to get, real live blank tapes!!
Just for nostalgia of cause
-
Ah you know you have now spoilt almost everything else now
It'll be an addiction haha

I added Bluetooth, iPod and radio Nav to mine jap one. Yes it was expensive but I saw it more as an investment as I intend to keep the car for 5 yrs.
Certainly I don't regret it and would do it again. iPod integrated into idrive with Nav etc is far better then aftermarket can get close to

Such a waste, left to this state, still if it was $2k .... Just don't tell the CFO

Great look and welcome, love the height and wheel look your running.
Don't find it to low?

Probably more like 4 times the price and they will sell twice as many, in the end the name will be the bigger factor then any performance gains

Good luck, alternatively get married, get a mortgage or two if your in Auckland, fill in a few years and then tell me your dream is still alive

Been there as well with a 540

Haha that'll be an individual for you, list is long and very extensive for extras

Does look tidy, that's about the third one they've had recently, breeding e39s there at Turners
-
Front ones better

Probably the perfect E38 For spec IMHO
yip no doubt needs some love but could be a great buy, Dave another to add to the collection LOL

Had me worried for a minute, lol

Got to the bottom of the leaking washer fluid, seems the aftermarket mud flaps from PO was using the tank as a great place to screw into, hence hole, lol
Easy fix anyway, had a clean up while in there
Buffed the windows up as well, got rid of most of the water marks which is nice
Will bring it up for the next meet in October.

Leather every time for me, last for ever (relatively) can be repaired, cleans up nice
Love the look and the feel.
Only downside is hot sunny summer days parked in sun wearing shorts hahaha

Yip, sad but true.
Funny mechanically though it's always been serviced , which is great.
