Seems like I have some good interest so, I think we can go ahead =) I think I'll need some help organizing it all =) I'll set up a sign up form on my web site so everyone can put there details and all in there =) So Im pretty good with getting the names but I have no idea how to draw it. Apart from pulling it out of a hat =) Someone will know hopefully so flick me some ideas =)

They're not illegal yet. That was confirmed but you see in case it does become illegal, you will notice its hidden on the car and the read out is actually hidden in one of the air vents above the center unit. =) A cop can't pull someone over for speeding without evidence unless he's issueing a warning which is just as good as him not pulling you over at all. Dad was a x cop guy or something not a cop but when he gets pulled over he asks to see the read out in their car to see proof they actually got him at a excessive speed. =) Only the radar is noticeable from the camera shots. Read out is on the right of the wheel and controls is by the heated seats controls so below the air conditions unit. All the cops can do really is give us a dirty look and we've had a few but they know they can't touch us =) Great fun, looking at there faces though =) But again Rob at Rapid Radio knows for sure they're perfectly legal, they put the same system onto Ferraris and all that stuff at least once a week.

Ill have to read a bit more. But its a small raffle. Hardly anyone is going to notice surely. Worry about it if I get enough interest. No point if no one wants to enter.

Same, I thought from Top Gears review they were useless school buses. I tried getting him into a Jeep SRT8 but they devalue to much and as much as I thought the 4.9 secs to 100 was worth the bad build quality the X5 took his liking. The way the Jammer works is if a cop has his speed gun thingy out and pointing it will jam it. So we have 10 seconds to jam on the brakes before he gets a reading and by then we will be at the legal speed hopefully.. Thats my understanding and I got the laser part from Rapid Radios website and you can see it from the link i put somewhere on this thread. =)

Yea, I got this one on my plan's renewal as well. But nothing you said devalues the phone.$5 $10 dollars isn't much for a no plan attached phone. =) But just an idea. =)

So, I'm getting close to being half way to paying my E30 off. Bimmersport Advertising going up soon and all. Getting close. But then there's the overalls, the passenger seat and harness. So I did some thinking and thought what about a iPhone Raffle. =) I've done some research and I can do it legally =) I think...... I hope. Its under $5000 of value and its New, well a few weeks old but no marks and anything. Everything is sealed in the box except the phone. Anyway, so. If it is all good. Then why not. They're 1179 at the stores. and its probably worth around 1000-1100, so big price I would think. So, if the tickets are say $10 then 100 tickets need to be sold. So not a hard goal? For the amount of people on this site I think 100 would be around 1 ticket for every 50 members. So let me know what you all think. Its a phone so no registration or WOF like the M3 raffle that was suggested. Would be going towards something to do with Bimmers so Look forward to hear from the feedback.

Got tints done today, but a bit darker not to dark though. And some new Hi Velocity Stickers on as the ones I put on were pathetic. Had bubbles everywhere so got the sign writer to do em =)

Dropping off more of the money to Scott tomorrow hopefully. Im getting the money by doing sites for people and a few have pulled out with finical problems, so cash not coming in as quick as I planned but. Im getting an ad up on Bimmersport so hopefully that'll help me out. Maybe a BMW guys who need a better site for not so much coin will notice me. Have to try it =) But yea as I said at the start the more jobs for me the quicker I get it =)

It's been pretty good. We have X band and K Band turned off but sometimes it brings up K and X band alerts. Rapid say its just ours and that have replaced the CPU and full unit a few times but been doing it since it was on the M3

X5 4.6IS 2002 Heaps of you guys may recognize this car as the Owner of the BMW Owners Club was the 1 and only previous owner. He really looked after the car and its in perfect condition. Its completely optioned out every option available except the pull out boot floor. Gavin gave it the all clear, after we took it to him to inspect it prior to purchase =) Just got it back today from Rapid Radio after getting a handsfree Parrot thingy installed. Really good handsfree, very clear and you can use with your mp3, phone or ipod or bluetooth device for music through the car stereo and all the steering wheel controls still work! Also got the Bell Radar Detector and Jammer put in as well. Rapid Radio are really good, good guys there and reasonable prices!!

Yea, Surely most petrol heads even if ya not a fan of F1 would know Schumacher was returning with Mercedes. Schui was only an adviser to Ferrari so not a huge contract and he's getting 8MIL USD a year with Mercedes I think its USD. But he gets paid around 10-20mil for wearing his caps with Detsche Bank I think and those watches. Money no object for him =) Mean SLS though, it's the F1 Safety car this year aswell!

Yea, its a shocker alright! But it is true. The most common I have noticed is the BMW 7 Series, BMW x6 and 3.0l X5 07-010, and the CL Mercedes. And 6 Series BMW. 7 Series arse end is terrible and same for the 6 and X6 car. CL Merc is a great car but even the Cl63 the rear end is horrible. Funny though. I stick with the Jeep for a quick SUV, but im a teen who likes big boar V8s. Cayenne isn't worth it unless its the Turbo or Turbo S or GTS ( this is if you want a quick SUV ), Range Rover Sport and Vogue is the best inside but so many things to go wrong that do go wrong in the end. X5 nothing to complain about really. VW Twarig the ride is crap, ( I know this from real life experience ) and X6 is for the old single man who is having a crisis. Just my opinion but funny how a discussion over the X6 Hamann turns into a performance SUV talk.

Yea, we were going to test drive the one down at New Plymouth/Timaru ( the Silver one ) but it sold before we arrived. Went in one a year ago and it did 16L around town and 15L once we took it round back of Kermeu. But those things haul arse. You get out with your arse sucked into the seat. Serious Power. Went in a 4.8is 07 X5 few weeks back and that thing was quick but the jeep is just real in another league. Its a good performance package the handling is surprising good ( Of cause I didn't drive it but dad did and he is very picky after owning an M3 ( handling wise). Not just a dragster. Also, saw one with a Tow Bar on TradeMe a while back. If you get the tow bar as an add on it goes in the middle of the pipes. ( they move the pipes over of cause ) and if you get an aftermarket one it goes under which I think it better. I love the looks of them with the pipes like the Lamborghini Revention, and the big boar looks. But again what I said before. If you can afford the gas and get over the plain interior and build quality that thing can keep you satisfied easily and get you home 30 mins quicker =)

To Be honest is you want a quick, good handling SUV and some coin left over. The Jeep SRT8, 6.1 Hemi 15l/100kms 4.8secs to 100 and a Cayenne GTS won't beat it to 100. If you can pay for the gas and get over the build quality difference nothing will touch it thats that high up off to road. For another 3500 USD you can get a blower for it and proven it gets to 100 in 3.3 secs that 430 Scuderia Speed. Put it in YouTube and you can see it beat C63 AMGs off the line and Ml63s its incredibly fast and not a crappy america truck. Clarkson tested it and said he didn't want to give it back few years back in the Top Gear Mag. Wish one was around 45k somewhere cause dad likes them but not as much as the 04 X5s =(

I agree. The arse end looks like a Z4 coupe but much bigger.

That looks mean at the front but the back on those X6's is rubbish.

Hi Everyone, Just got back from Top Gear Live and of cause seeing Clarkson and May was great but Im wondering if anyone else went and what ya thought. I thought the show was very much the same as last years with the soccer and the same cars on the cool wall? It was a great show seeing the personalities but yea what did you all think if you went.

Well, Today I put my first deposit on my first car and my new E30 Race Car. I took the advice of Fox and all the others who helped me out ( Thanks a lot!! ) So few nights back I got my first E30 Race Series Car for 8000 and the motor and gear box for another 1000 at a later date!!! As Im designing websites for some people ( if you need a site please email me jack@mac-street.net and help me get this car sooner =) ) I need time to pay it off and I've been given around 2 months to comeplete paying it off but ultimately... I GOT MY FIRST CAR!!! AND ITS A RACE CAR!!!!! Won't be racing at Hampton in March ( Need a lot of practice and track days) but the race after that I should be good. Really grateful for everyones help and advice. Went to See Gavin last week and he's going to let me take it to him and work on it and share track days together so its all working out so far. Your joking right? iPhone has the best phone interface around. The slide to unlock, the gestures and just the iPhone itself. No other phone has that. I import heaps of good phones all the time and the iPhone still stays on top. The HTC's and Googles are good for people who are good with computers and technology naturally but they're boring. Not fun things to use. Not to mention if I gave a Windows Phone to someone to use who isn't very good with technology they will ask me to Dial the name and this has happened. Windows Phones are good but the iPhone's are great!
