What have I started?
if you are interested in the John Britten story, you need to read the book by Tim Hannah, a great read & really sad what happened to the company & the loyal employees!

One that I do have which is quite rare is a 1/18 all metal model of the Britten motorcycle, there was one still in the original box, unassembled, that just sold for $2500.00
-
I have a number of 1/18 scale cars & a bout 20 Minichamp MotoGP bikes, the detail is amazing
I also have a number of original Matchbox cars still in there boxes, that I got from my Grandfather, I used to play with them as a kid, under his supervision of course

I joined the BMW club some years ago, nothing really happened in the Wellington region, lot happens in Auckland, regular meet ups etc, I deal with a few clubs with my business, as in I invite them to my lock up, show the cars & demo Autoglym products, the Porsche Club is by far the most active, I would like to see a more active club here, with maybe a club discount at some local BMW specialists, also as I have suggested some sort of Business card or flyer we can leave on cars to attract more people
The only good thing that I got from being a member was a club sticker for the car & they send out a club magazine
With the way Bimmersport has been growing, do we really need to spend money to belong to the club?? just asking, also its very easy to just log onto the site & check in
I have been on many committees over the years & without fail, there will be a core group of three to maybe six people who will run it
We should have a coffee catch up & discussion

I do really think bimmersport is on the rise as the BMW car club in Wellington is non existent, I also think we should put in & organise maybe a flyer or business card type of idea, so we can leave them on other Bimmers & encourage joining as well
what are your thoughts??

I know the owner of the CSL, he was trying to decide whether to sell it, or store it with me
Also I have a new customer, dropped off his E30 M3, lefthand drive car for me to store, I have suggested he join Bimmersport & he will have a look & join soon, so another exotic BMW in Wellington, that we can get along to our meets!

22 hours ago, BM WORLD said:haha my e28 m535i RF shock is knocking
im looking at fitting bilsstein HD shocks as the rears where replaced a while back with that type .
you could go for the sport option ,
shall I see if I can get a bulk discount on 2 pairs
Hey Brent, yes that could be a plan, but I don't really want a ultra aggressive race type suspension, let me know costs & your opinion of what the Bilsteins will be like compared to standard??
-
Hi guys, over the weekend my E28 has developed a horrible knock from the left front & has a knackered shock, what have other people fitted & at what cost
I did a quick search, but couldn't find anything, I look forward the wonderful knowledge on here

Yes, I sell a Clay bar Kit & can show or explain how to use it if needed, great product
-
Good luck with the repair,at least you purchased it from a dealer, my son inlaw, purchased an X5 for my daughter through trademe, has major problems, trans needs replacing & the timing chain, was supposedly replaced but has not set up the vanos system correctly & the seller, cannot be found, wont reply to any correspondence, so is currently going to court
We currently have it blocking my driveway, as we feel it is unsafe to drive!!
the engine power wise is so flat, my Hiace van would out accelerate it!!

Nice car

Rohan, sorry to hear about your WOF issues, but this is yet another example of why you shouldn't take vehicles to VTNZ for anything!! , go to a proper garage & build a relationship
