  1. Awesome thanks for that. Yea I have looked at a lot of forums and I've tried their solutions and nothings worked for me so I tried my luck with asking on here. Will give ur advice a try. Thanks again.
  2. Hey all, I have an issue that I notice a few people have had before. I have just about come to the end of an m52b28 conversion on my e30 but now I am faced with the problem of my electric windows only working while the doors are open and also my heater and side mirrors don't work at all and I've heard they are all tied into the same thing? Please throw all your ideas at me as I'm really eager to get this fixed. Thanks heaps! Much appreciated. Jamie
  3. also have Jamex super lows if interested 0278749527
  4. Got the hubs pressed onto the front shocks today and a resurface also. looks so much better than previous.
  5. Cheers, yea cant beat that staunch e30 look with tech 2 huh cant wait for its first drive!
  6. Yea ill probably get bigger discs and calipers if it doesn't feel like the original ones perform very well.
  7. Time for an update. After the car had been going for a little bit i ordered a K&N pod filter for it. Looks great and makes a nice difference to the sound of it. Great addition to the project. We have recently ordered a new Diff with 2 extra clutches put into it by a clutch specialist and worked on getting it into the car with a couple of other things until 5 in the morning. We have had to relocate the brake booster across 1.5mm to fit because it was being interrupted by the intake manifold which meant we had to create new location plates to fit. It is all in and all working Did come across the problem of the reservoir not fitting becaust of the air intake pipe so we have ordered a universal one to fit into the firewall and have pipes running down to the master cylinder. We started making the stainless exhaust from the rear as we were missing a manifold that was getting welded at the time. Luke (BoostJunky) got some of the way when we realized the lady who said she had given us stainless tig rods had actually given us carbon steel rods which means were yet to cut off the already welds and start again with stainless Last big job until this car starts moving! I was trying to think of a nice place to mount my gauges. I didn't really want to drill holes in my dash as there's no crackes or tears in it and the pillar mount i found was way to chunky and ugly looking so i decided from seeing a couple of photos to mount them in three holes drilled out in the front of the centre console as the photo shows. Glad i got it perfect on my first attempt. Today i received my XYZ coilovers! They look awesome and cant wait to get them on the car. Definitely worth buying. (they came with a lanyard) Getting the disks pressed onto them tomorrow. Everything's been wired up and working sweet so not long to go now! Get these shocks on, exhaust made up and put on, brake booster reservoir relocated to firewall and bigger front brakes and rotors. Will try to be more onto it with my updates =) Thanks for the interest everyone!
  8. Haha yea, gotta get the right choice the first time can't wait to put them back in Thursday/Friday. Should be driving it up to your place sometime soon Wicked man hope all goes well! You'll have to post how it all goes with the xyz's
  9. Hey guys, i finally made the decision to call up speed factor in Tauranga and order some XYZ coilovers. Just need to send the struts and they'll set it all up for me at a price of around $1675 which im pretty happy with. Looking forward to getting them into this project! Thanks again for all your input. Will post up more pics on my project page.
  10. Oh yea kinda helps knowing what vehicle its for haha sorry about that. Its an 88 E30. Cheers =)
  11. Hey guys, I'm in need of a little help. I'm looking for some good adjustable suspension that is height adjustable as well as dampness. If anyone has a set for sale I would really like to have a look and even if you can let me know what you think is worth getting and what's good but also for a reasonable price. Not looking at spending a fortune on them either. Just something that would be trustworthy. Thanks heaps!! Jamie
  12. Hey, if your still after this part or any others give Fabian at coobes johnston a call. He's been awesome with parts on my project and has most of them at good prices. (07)8468888 Jamie
  13. Congrats ... you get that "engine swap first start" feeling ha when that engine first started up i think i felt a touch from heaven it was amazing to hear it going after a year and a bit of hard work. Definitely made the whole conversion worth doing
  14. So finally here's a video of the machine going! Worth watching Enjoy
  15. yea i found my exhaust manifold was hitting on the small cross bar on the mounting arm so we just took it off. and also it is very close if not touching the steering column so it will be modified but apparently Luke knows how that works. And not sure of the ratio sorry. will find that out soon Thanks
  16. I'm pretty sure its copper tubing... would it matter just being for that little bit? Dam maybe they're a little more flexible down here =D
  17. Sweet, thanks Andy ill have a look for one =) and yea i feel like its definitely gonna be all worth all the effort and time not to mention $$ once its done Cant wait to see how it runs
  18. oh nice! how do you find the m52 personally? and oh awesome, ill keep an eye out for a porshe one too then if i cant find a mk2 one =) Thanks. And with the manifolds I'm using the same ones it came with but having to extend them a little bit. I have a bit of help from Luke (Boostjunky) who knows a bit more about it then i do so when i get it started ill keep track of it and post it up here =)
  19. Oh cool i see. Yea well when i finally get around to it ill let you know whether ill need them or not =) Thanks heaps for that! and man your booster came out looking amazing! Looks like you had a really fun project yourself.
  20. haha lots of fun still on a crane that im putting full trust in oh thats a really awesome, another genious BMW idea How did your project end out?
  21. Hey thanks! oh yea! especially when it initially lines up with the mounts and just slipps on with a bit of a jiggle =D oh ok? how important is the relocation plates if the booster fits in perfectly as the e30 one does? Is it needed? Cheers =) yea! very tedious actually. It had e39 mounting arms on it too which made it a little harder as well as being wrong arms a lot of wrigling and twisting to get it in. oh wow that wud make it so much easier! just bolt on and off is it?
  22. So I've been getting through this project very slowly but with with lots of promise. Sorry for the delay in documenting the project but here it is! From an auto 318i to a manual m52b28 =D Not long to go now! When i first got this beaut Stock E30 with tech2 before it was painted. bit of a Frankenstein =P (cause was 15 year old kids driving at night, right through a give way and into my baby) Lucky the Germans made these things as strong as tanks =D Drift Steering wheel in a bit early E30 after its paint, New custom Superlite wheels (16x8) Looking nice Original engine from E30 - 318i Auto m52b28 raw power Getting ready for the engine transplant running clutch line Clutch assembly Attaching the clutch to engine Putting on the getrag 220 gearbox New engine (m52b28) with attached getrag 220 gearbox ready for craning in! In she goes! Finally sits nicely on e36 mounting arms Replaced m52 intake manifold and m52 throttle body with m50 ones and took out the m52 loom ready for the m50 loom. So that's basically where i'm up to at the moment. Waiting on a pedal box and a mk2 golf brake booster to fit. Once i get more time ill get more done on this beauty and post more progress up =) BIG thanks to Luke (Boost Junky) for countless hours working on this car with me; And Kerry from Hamilton Mosen Euro parts for all the parts to make this awesome machine run and lots of help and input! Heres a clip of the engine's first starting! Enjoy
  23. Hey guys, just after an E36 325 driveshaft. Going between a 220 getrag box to e30 diff. Don't think the length changes between them. Thanks! Jamie
  24. Hey Kerry, Just wondering with that 325 drive shaft, did you end up having to make the holes a little bit bigger in the coupling to fit the bolts? Just remember you saying something about that a while ago? If not that would be ideal using just a straight 325 shaft. Cheers! Jamie
  25. Going out on a massive stretch here but would you have an e30 manual pedal box lying around? Cheers!
