I have one in the garage. I'll look at it in the morning for specs.

Happy to try to answer questions.
Thanks for that!
I'll drop you a message in the morning when I've formulated questions with my wife.

We noticed that. I have looked the various flood plain maps and the house we're looking at is not in any of the listed flood zones, and is on top of a hill. In theory, safe. (The ticket will be whether we can get flood insurance or not!)

Why are you committing such crime against this beautiful machine?!

We're looking to possibly migrate Thames-wards. Anyone living there willing to answer some questions for us? Thanks!

It's not so bad, but it's messy as anything. Plan on lots of rags...

24th - 31 delivery.
Tracking number received
USPS "Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item" hasn't changed since 15th
Asendia USA package arrived destination country new Zealand 2/2/18
expected delivery 12th
Contacted all parties involved no joy just promises
So ordered a set of stainless steel hoses with connection adapters as cover.
USPS is really bad about tracking... If you legitimately want tracking, you need UPS/Fedex/DHL from the US.

This is awesome!
I have it in my mind where you just leave the "118i" emblem on the back and let folks be surprised at the lights!

And let's not quote all the pictures folks, way too much downloading and scrolling.
Fair cop. My bad. Edited.

Cleaned it up and reassembled the interior whenever it rained and after refilling fluids etc I managed to drive it home today!
Safe to say my hands are f****d but we’ll worth the effort and experience!
New tyres tomorrow and need to figure out how to get the OEM Head unit going again next.

I get this is old hat to many here, but to me, this is amazing and something I hope to have the knowledge, and ability to do one day. Awesome dude!

And just throwing this out there... If for whatever reason you end up wanting a full valve cover...

For that price, you might as well buy them, no? I have them here in Auckland and am happy to loan for cost of postage anytime.

The trouble with car covers is anything that’s waterproof retains all the moisture under the cover and when it’s sunny it heats up the car like an oven. So you have a double whammy of extra heat and moisture within the around the car - results are never pretty under prolonged use.
Another thing is any wind and the cover moves around acting like sandpaper with any dust particle wrecking havoc on your paint work.
and there’s no such thing as one that doesn’t blow off, they are like a parachute in windy conditions, even if you tie it down onto the car have a brick on top.
Personally just leave it in the elements and move it around and open the windows when the sun is out.
Buy a cat to scare the birds away or use a scarecrow : )
Thanks for the advice Tom. I think my kids would like the cat idea very much, but then I might end up with cat paw prints all over my hood!

I'm looking for recommendations for a car cover that I can use for my car which is parked outdoors.
I'm looking at the Supercheap options here:
Anyone ever use these? If not these, any suggestions on something that'll be waterproof, won't blow away, and will protect my car for weeks at a time when it isn't driven and birds are trying to crap all over it?
Thanks!

Not likely. A healthy chat with the wife made it clear I need to sell mine before I replace it with anything... I need to do some work on mine still, then I'll be comfortable posting it at a loss, to buy a more expensive car.

Note that my answer is a mechanical one related to the Leaf. It will not charge while turned on.

I still have one, but its location appears to be my mates garage instead of my own... I will sort you specs, but might only be tomorrow now. Sorry about that.
