  1. 25mm spacers and some stretch would fix it up good.

Why do all you young guys go on about stretch and spacers? What ever happened to buying wheels that are designed to fit a car. Your suggestion won't fix his problem at all. Why don't you think something through before posting tripe.

3 pedals is on the right track but I think in plain English he means it will steer and track badly.

The truth is 18x9's are too wide for the front of an E36. I have owned over 10 so far.

Where did you buy the wheels from? and what size tyres are you running?

  2. Got a set of 16s with mint tyres u can chuck on

wont look as good  -save a drama tho

I like your way of thinking however I am going to play the devil's advocate here.

The cert plate will then state the size wheel that you have on the car at time of certification. I am guessing the borrowed wheels will be a 16x7 or 16x7.5.

Technically speaking if the car is cert'ed for that size wheel then you put the 16x9's back on, you can get fined, green stickered or whatever they do for having wheels that do not comply with the cert plate.

I only know all this from past experiences ;)

  3. Good luck on the cert check. The car looks awesome. You may get knocked back on having 205's on a 9" wide rim though. Certifiers are getting pretty strict with having an approved width tyre in relation to the rim width. Hopefully you can get through!
