  1. Both good wise opinions my friend! I have owned about 4 E30's . Been hooked on them since I was 16years of age. Once I bought my first E30 I couldn't see myself in any other car! Currently own a 1990 E30 325i Auto (gear box broken). A heads up on auto's : they drink abit more and cost more to fix if the gear box does decided to blow on you while doing (skids,drift) . So IMO I'd try look for a manual. Depends on your budget too. Mind you these are 23 years of age cars so don't be suprised to find things that need fixing/ replacing. Keep us posted on what you end up getting .. Go E30

  3. Hey, I just recently lowered my E30. And now the rear is sitting on its ass, which means alot of guard rub when I have people 2+ people in the car. My friend and I already tried rolling it with a 3" pipe but doesn't work. Can anyone help me? Does anyone know a friend or work place that could pump it out for a reasonable price? As my car is off the road atm I'm wanting to get it done after the manual conversion goes in. Also I need advice on getting a full exhaust system?   4. In URGENT need of a Full Manual Conversion!! My Auto Gear Box blew. Also need a good mechanic to get my engine looked at. Since sunday (when the gear box stopped working) my car won't start. but it turns over. Can some body help me? I'm in Christchurch. Thanks Mike

  8. Hi looking for a cheap full manual conversion for my E30. My auto gear box is about to die so I'm in need of a manual gear box.   11. I'm not worried about it being the fastest 250 lol I don't want to kill myself on the first few days riding it.. But yes went and had a look at 1 in person and wow! it looks tough! Didn't get to hear what it sounds like because it just came out of the crate so no fuel in it.

I'm nervous to go get my Learners ? haha but I really need a bike because my E30 isn't giving me a good time at the moment.. Have you seen the Megelli 250R that I was saying I want to get? Everyone else seems to be getting 250 Ninjas..Too common

  15. I have bought new springs and shocks from a guy on TM and put them on my E30. Now the rear is sitting on its bum and has guard rub. Bumpy as hell! but man it looks cool than being all jacked up lol. pictures to come tomorrow or saturday..

  17. Member ID: Ducattiss Gidday there - Heres the info I got when I bought it hope this helps.... The box is out of a south african 320i as far as I can tell. It has the same ratios as the 260. As far as condition, the box appears fine (I have never used it as I bought it for a conversion but ended up using a different box). The knuckle joint on the shift selector MUST be replaced - the bush has flogged out entirely. This is common and if you read the how-to's, most recommend replacing this for every conversion to remove play from the shifter as the bushes are all 20 years old by now. The rubber clutch line with the fittings on it between the slave cylinder and metal clutch line must be replaced as it is perished and one of the fittings is missing. I would replace the short line from the reservoir to the master cylinder too as it is a push-on without fittings and so will probably only cost about $1.50 to replace. Finally, if your car is facelift, you will have to swap the centre bearing from your driveshaft onto this one as the mounting brackets are different. If you have a pre facelift then you are fine. Other than that, I would get the flywheel machined and buy a clutch kit with new pressure plate, clutch disc and release bearing and you will need the $15 spigot bearing that goes on the end of the crank where your torque converter presses in. I would also use all new flywheel and pressure plate bolts (although I will send you the old ones, so you decide). Most of these things I am recommending replacing are all mentioned in the how-to articles on the web - they are optional, but it is a case of "a stitch in time saves nine". With the exception of the clutch line, any conversion you buy will probably need all these items done. (Unless you want to spend closer to $1200 on one from a wrecker who has done it all for you). Thats what he said to me. If I get it I'll be replacing pretty much everything with new aftermarket parts.

  21. Don't think 240 will last long running a 2500cc motor? My 325i has full leather (blue) no cracks on dash sun roof, just missing manual conversion lowered and BBS RS wheels or similar and a new panel n paint. cant take any photos of it because i cracked the screen on my HTC desire phone

  23. Hi I've been looking through Trademe for manual conversion kits for my 1990 325i E30. I saw this guys listing Clickaroo Was wondering if that would fit straight into it? And if there is anyone from CHCH who could help fit? Any help would be great thanks! Mike.
