not funny!! Serious answers would be appreciated.

In the last couple of weeks my car(E36 318is M42)has developed a small clicking(ticking) noise every time I accelerate under load.It seems to be coming somewhere from under the dash(then again I`m not to sure , Noise travels) The noise is not appearant when accelerating at standstill or at cruising speed, only when accelerating up hill(under load).the clicking(ticking) sound gets louder the more I accelerate.As soon as I ease off, of it disappears. This is not a loud noise, more annoying ,if anything. Has anyone come across it before or has an answer? I put a post on 318is.de, but no answer as yet.

Bimmerboy, if you you still want a Dist.Cap and Rotor, I can get a Bosch GB878 cap and a GB922 rotor for you.You would be looking at $140 for the cap and about $85 for the rotor.(Probably less)These are Bosch and brand new.Prices are an estimate(not at work at the moment)but certainly not more than that.

I`m sure they would let you. e`sp`l`y if if you hang the 560 sec next to it.

325 models were the main models imported to to to the US during the E30 production.

I believe the entrance level for most american BMW models were 325 I models.
