im pretty set on the 325 idea just because its god gain for money but would give it a good run over beofre it goes it, or http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...5793237.htm?p=1 is it too old?

GAC tells me 5000 will be a full 320 rebuild, 323 head, pistons, etc. Good for about 200 hp, and new internals. But 5000 is a bit.. so what about quick swap to a 325 motor, once i have bought it, and taken the head off, got a grind, and maybe a cam. I am not looking for a race motor, nor do I want something I can run a 6000 all the time, because i like the fact bmw motors last a long time! Whats a little work to a 325 motor cost, say a new cam (valve springs?) and i dunno maybe some other stuff while im in there. I like the fact I can do most of the work then myself even if it takes some time to build the 325 motor up to scratch.

im running 45 profiles on my 15s so thats possibly why, but then i raised the car about 5mm at the rear, meh, handles better anyway

electric windows are over rated, i do like the feature however of being able to use them while the doors are open with no key. mine are slow..is it the motor worn out?

you said the passenger seat, im guessing you meant under the passengers side floor mat? thats what happened on my car, however things were no way near as bad as you! i did a water pump and radiator too. water pump is about 200??? radiator 400 and you can get the same one on trade me as i got from a1 radiators in chch My problem was the heating system leaking, have you checked your heater core is leaking? look under gearbox, or take out and get it pressure checked its free. you will need to bypass the heater using a 90 degree bend from a hardware store if you still wish to drive without the heater

I drive an older BMW but the quality of the cars is so good, even though i could go and buy a new car why would I, it would look half as good, the parts would be just as expensive as BMW dealer parts, and I would have a car like a lot more people on the road. I like the individuality of the cars, the subtle advertising is great, and just like owning one, would never look at a different brand for a replacement, however would consider if I needed a run about I think there are perceptions that we own the road out there also!

I hate that my car is not an extra 500cc and I cant be bothered swapping it out to a 325 motor.. hmmmmmm And that I need to spend about 1000 to get my suspension tight. Gah! And that my Internet is slow. Go large + 5mb connection still crappy download speed. Torrents and running computer 24/7 FTW!
