hi all, have got a 318iS (m42) now and am swapping with my 320(m20) , as the iS has 90000 less K's! 320 is a 1988, iS is a 1990.. only got 100k on it, what i want to know is i am thinking about swapping the entire looms over, can they be split without joining, ie want to only swap engine looms as they are different??? -Do these have different engine mounts? -What size are the torx bolts that separate the g/box from the engine? -How do i drain clutch fluid? -iS has ABS brakes, should i bother putting them in the 320? -And should i put a 318iS badge on the back of the 320 when im done THANKS!

got full set 318iS ones, i think they are stiffer or lower than normal.. thanks

Hey have a few parts i know i will get rid of now- decided to keepn the engine and gearbox being quite rare i will reshell it and make my car as close as i can get it to an iS.. Some parts i will definatly take are engine, gearbox, driveshaft, front iS lip, diff, dash, and shocks, struts, steering wheel, seats. Didnt have black door cards sorry, my engine is up for sale along with 5 speed Getrag 260, 190K's on both. Also my drive shaft which has be lengthend for facelift. SO all left overs are up for sale, still some good bits like interior parts and misc parts.. i know i have: Rear sway bar (no linkages) $50 Full set of bottle caps with alright tyres $80 2 Basket weaves 14" $150 Centre Console thingy with tray instead of gay tape thingy $40 Front Facelift White/Black Bumper $300 Fog lights (mint) $110 Full Beam headlights $60, Smiles are sold My engine + g/box $1000 incl drive shaft, diff, clutch etc, pedal box Rear 320 seats (no rips) $60 Front seats (rips but free seat covers ) $80 Carpet (all mint grey) $60 Or offer me whatever i just need to break even so doubt ill sell parts for much Pics tomorrow [email protected]

pentone, front headlights and fogs are there, rear left tail is there (i think) other one is smashed tell me what you would like. also you can choose between elipsoids or normal facelift head lights

Hey,sounds like ill get the car this week! I want to get rid of the engine first, but will someone tell me how the hell do i get it to the buyer?? i imagine i get it on a crate and get a transport co to pick up from home??? edit- has 100,000 K on it, not many!

mmm better to get a new one they can rip, 100 bucks is the dealer price i think, not the cheapest part but you have to have it.

just waiting to hear weather the guy is going to get this fixed, im pretty hopeful he wont as hes already bought another car .. and james, would the engine work with my loom? just swap computers over??

yeah im almost keen to put the engine in my car.. its quite quick.. will keep you guys posted as i am going to pick up this week i hope. probably wont swap for much unless its suspension stuff, kinda need the money

is that the one with the m3 grills on the side? saw it on tm for sale, its a 318is manual, looks cool i thought..

were they noticable? back or front? you can see my ones realllly easy at the front as the diameter is quite large, almost scraps on the brake pads..going to get a wof on sat morning so ill see what happens

yeah i know i only got em, but i have to have spacers on the front and cant get wof with spacers, havent tried yet mind you, going to try this weekend if i can fix my cv joint, if i fail might sell em as i dont want to pay for cert for spacers!
